Something tells me the new owners are going to sever ties with USADA once the contract expires.

USADA seems like more trouble than it's worth. The athletes need to be tested for performance enhancing steroids. Not allergy medicines, psoriasis lotion, over the counter supplements, aspirin, and other silly BS. It seems that they're more about catching people than cleaning up the sport. I'm fine with drug testing, but I think UFC can benefit from a more reasonable testing standard.

I'm thinking the new owners are in a perfect position to make that change.

It will be very bad PR if the UFC scales back testing.

No chance. But if it does happen, I could see Dana spinning like this..

"Look, USADA is great at what they do, but we are now going to take it upon us to do the testing. If you thought the testing was tough with USADA, you have no idea how much more difficult it will be to cheat when we do the testing".

I doubt it'll happen. It'd look bad and give more fuel to anyone who wants it banned in one state or another.

USADA with the UFC is kind of like agent Smith taking over the Matrix.

Yes and no. All they have to say is that they gave it a shot but most of the findings were for banned substances that were not performance enhancing or illegal. It becomes a detriment to the fighters who are unable to compete over things like this. We appreciate what USADA has done, but we need testing that focuses on preventing PED use, not a laundry list of miscellaneous items that have no benefit to the fighter.

Trust me, it can be spun. And the new owners aren't faces like the fertittas. I doubt they're going to care too much about a little bad press that will eventually be forgotten. I think they care more about profits.
