Do not. I repeat do not start threads seeking serious medical advice on Sherdog
1. You delay seeking real treatment.
2. You are seeking advice from people that are not trained to treat/diagnose patients.
You will actually heal much quicker if you go to a doctor and get your sports related injury
properly evaluated, so you can rest for the appropriate amount of time and heal as necessary.
I work in a level 1 trauma center doing xrays, and just because it doesnt look injured does not mean
that something is not messed up. Ive seen legs that I would have sworn were broke,be fine, and ankle injuries where one could see minimal swelling have multiple breaks. The point is if you have real problems go see a f'ing doctor. That said, there are many things you can skip on or pay less. Health insurance is not one of them. Rare is the grappler that trains for years and doesnt run into his share of mishaps that require MD visits.
