Remember when Brock Lesnar was thought to be invincible, and then when Cain beat him, he was going to dominate the HW division for years?

JDS is a great fighter, and I favor him against Cain, but with Cain, Overeem, Cormier, and JDS in the HW division no man will be able to defeat all the rest. Heavyweights are too powerful and there are too many KO's. Things will get even more competitive once Jon Jones moves up.

Fedor was a great fighter, but he wouldn't have gone undefeated against Lesnar, Couture, Overeem, and Mir. Prime Fedor couldn't go undefeated against the best HW in the UFC right now; no man can.

Now fanboys will say that their favorite fighter is invincible and will dominate all the others, but these guys are just too good to get dominated by any one man.

JDS has the best shot out of all of them imo.

I think he'll hold the title for a while.

Anderson, GSP, Jones, and JDS. I don't see them losing any time soon. Bendo, maybe. Maybe. The other four look locked in. Especially if JDS smashed Cain again.

Prime Fedor was a fucking beast and none of the fighters you list are in the same league as he was. Fedor would have either submitted Cain or or blasted him into submission.

    Dear Sir,
I can only assume you are some sort of Wizard with a crystal ball in order to make such a statement as this. So tell us, are you a Wizard with a crystal ball?

A champion needs to prove his dominance for at least 3 defenses before I make such statements. Keeping the title is much more difficult than earning it because you have to fight top hungry competitors vast majority of the time.

Hes probably going to tie the defense record this weekend. Then overeem will upset him, then lose to cormier. Then a huge cycle will just continue where no one defends more than twice.

It's poor logic to say that because it hasn't been done, it won't be done.

JDS has the best chance I think. 9 straight wins in the UFC without looking in trouble once. He has some stiff challenges in front of him to be sure, but he would be the favorite in every one of them, so it's very doable.

Remember when they said that no one would hold on to the LHW belt because it was passed around so much? One man stopped that.

Depends, I think JDS will hold it for a while if he beats Cain cause I think he beats Overeem but if Cain wins I could see Overeem knocking him out.

Fedor was fighting in a different MMA. A smaller ring where you can cut off the opponent and cannot hold anyone against the ropes for a long time represents a very different type of fighting. It makes no sense to compare his skills directly against someone who mostly have fought in the octagon.

But Fedor had skills to KO a fighter, dominate them from the top position or submit them from the bottom. Nobody in the UFC currently can do this against top opponents.

It is possible that we have rock/paper/scissors scenario with so many specialists leading the division but JDS is 2 fights away from establishing himself as a fixture. If cain can't get him down and Overeem can't outstrike him he becomes the overwhelming favorite against anyone at HW.

I dont think hes comparing skill as much as he is saying Fedor's long ass winning streak was greatly helped by the mis matches in between all of his legit fights. It would be much harder to go undefeated if your constantly fighting top guys.

Fedor is still the heavy weight goat, just might have had a couple more losses had he fought more, and fought more consistent competition.

JDS will savage anyone on this planet in the octagon. Wait til you see what happens to poor cain. Junior will severely hurt Cain tom night and they Reem might be 205lbs again by the time he wakes up.

Fedor was also fighting more frequently until the last few years of his career.

Jones is now fighting middleweights but I do not see a problem with that as long as he is fighting to LHW contenders 2x a year.

I don't see JDS losing to anyone in the near future. Also,
