Which one do you guys prefer, I like no gi more

Honestly depends on the day. I'm one of the weird guys though that feels no-gi is easier on me physically than gi but at the same time I like the more options available. There's just something fun about getting lasso and then de la hiva hooking the same side leg and sweeping them that way.

No-gi takes less effort as you don't spend energy holding onto stuff that much.

You’re definitely not alone. I definitely hurt more after gi class and am more prone to get injured in the gi (twisting vs. friction).

It switches season to season. I'm currently in a leglock obsession phase, so no gi whenever I can.

When I have more energy I prefer the gi though. It's more rugged and savage, it scratches a different itch.

Nogi bothers my arthritis less so I'll go with that, lol.

I also think it's beautiful because of its simplicity. Nogi innovators impress me more.

I'm with you on that one, crazy lapel guards is kind of too much for me too

I like the gi and how me and most of my training partners play it, we don't hold on collar and sleeve guard too much, we use almost as much no gi grips as gi grips and we use the gi for fine finishes not to stall or control

But rolling with a stiff and crafty collar and sleeve closed guard expert is pretty much the worst kind of rolling... working 4 minutes to get a guard opening and the 2 other minutes to pass the guard...

I'm better at no gi. I enjoy gi more. I feel like there is more nuance to gi and I actually have to slow down and think instead of nogi where "wrestler brain go brrrrr"
