No dive. Cowboy just didn’t know what hit him.

In the post fight he said Connor caught him with elbows. Unless they thought that far ahead, Cowboy was genuinely stunned by those shoulder butts. The element of surprise.

to do that much damage with shoulder butts is impressive. Staged or not, I don’t think I recall seeing someone get so damaged from that strike.

He was stunned from the get go. He dodged the left but ate a knee. Then a shit ton of shoulders with Conor jumping into them.

What I don't understand is where was cowboys underhook? Conor wouldn't have been able to do those shoulder bash if he was controlling his arm. Only explanation is that he was already rocked from the knee in the beginning.

Remember when Aldo took that dive against Conor. Virtually identical.

If Cowboy was gonna take a dive I highly doubt he gets his eye and nose completely busted up before getting high kicked to the face along with a dozen punches

He would have Ric Flair strutted and flopped like Bellator does

Looked like he either didn’t care or was told to lose.

Can the NAC just suspend Cerrone for at least 6 months? This was his 3rd TKO stoppage in 7 months.

Yeah, Conor had to take a dive against Cerrone of all people.

I suppose Donald took a dive against RDA too, since RDA wiped him out quick as well?

this was far more likely to have been a dive than anything bellator has done. He didn’t even try.

His face was broken and blood was all over the place and people thought he took a dive. Just like they thought Aldo took a dive.

I'm sorry for Cowboy but Conor is a level above everyone in striking at MMA.

lol, yes Cerrone just throws all the fights he folds in and choose to take full on beatings while he is at it...doesnt care about his health etc...I mean if he drops and gives up after a shady punch sure I can get the claims of fix...but not when he is destroyed like that! He was seriously fucked up in 40 seconds.

If he bet the farm on Conor to win in rd 1 he would have like 2 new farms now.

    No need to dive.

Cowboy was once a very good fighter but not anymore. His past accomplishments don’t hold relevance now. He had been beaten badly in 3 straight fights and is sub .500 spanning 11 fights.

He is done beating top 5 figjters and will continue to hang around beating the occasional barely top 10 guy.

See Ken Shamrocks weak RNC against Kimbo that wasn't properly locked up then let go

Cowboy is the slowest starter of all time, he usually picks it up when hes getting his ass kicked or 2nd round and on.

Cowboy had a poor game plan coming into this fight and it showed

Cowboy always starts slow, even more now that he is getting older. I'm not much of a Conor fan but you have to admit that his round 1 is fantastic, one of the best in the game.
I don't know how anyone couldn't see this fight playing out like this.
