Tomorrow there is a fight between Veretennikov and Barlow . Barlow did not make weight and will lose 20% of his purse . For a fighter with 8 fights and already not making weight is that sending the right message ? Seems like Barlow packs a lot of muscle for WW , move up dude and fight guys your own size .

Barlow missed weight by a quarter of a pound. I don't think he's ever missed weight before. It's certainly no reason to move up.

We will see in future bouts if he can move back down to WW but he is fighting as a Middleweight tomorrow . You gotta draw the line somewhere.

No, he is fighting as a Welterweight who missed weight.

They did. It's 171lbs. Barlow weighed 171.25, which cost him thousands of dollars.

If it happens again, maybe he should look into a new nutritionist. Until then it is a non-issue.

Barlow by Smesh
Maybe, but Veretennikov is very tough and well-rounded. He took Michael Morales to a decision on the Contender Series and he's 3-0 with 3 finishes since then.

I do favour Barlow, but I think it will be competitive.

I'm not sold on Barlow to be honest.

I’m not sold either, bro just glazes everything from the Contender Series.

To me Barlow is one of those gadget strikers you can have collect some nice HL reel KO’s against fringe UFC competition. But it’s very troubling he’s being unprofessional this early in his career missing weight with a little UFC push behind him.

I hope they don't set the bar low for the main event (greatest rematch in HW history).

He missed weight by four ounces, you absolute numpty. Clutch your pearls harder.

Veretennikov is a bad dude.

Now I'm excited :D

This fight had it all.

-Weight miss

-Bisping flaming Felder and reminding him that he’s a champion and HOF’er after a Dad joke about the Memphis blues

-Basically a welterweight-y welterweight kickboxing match with some stifled trip attempts.

-A wonky score card (2 judges gave a 29-28 Barlow, and one had it 30-27 for Veratennikov) 😂

-Bisping fucked up his nickname and tried to correct mid sentence; “The Left Hand of-Tuh GooooD!”

-And to top it all off; Barlow is Leon’s doppelganger:
