Surprising cut, their are a lot of fighters who are still in the UFC that don't have half his ability or potential, but maybe he needed this to help him reach his potential, I think he'll be back after 2 or 3 fights.

 

Backstrom was knocked out. In his post-concussion haze he thought the fight had been stopped early (due to flash ko). He apologized soon after, chuckling at how dumb that was. He simply didn't know what he was doing.

Backstrom kept his weight very low will do well in the future to fight a weight up in future fights. The lining of your brain cushion is the last thing to rehydrate. Fully-Hydrated Backstrom could be a quality contender.

 

He's young, he'll come back.
