Elections Night of a Thousand Candidates: CNN Democratic Town Hall

Yes it's TYT but they talk about Buttigieg supporting an amendment to the constitution but they don't believe he really believes to get this done. They point out that Pete gave a good answer to money in politics but they thank him for making a statement but a constitutional amendment is way to far for most because what is needed to get it done. I am surprised how much they are backing Pete before he was not very popular with them. Did someone with a big checkbook get to them about Petey?

I guess FOX is trying to repair their image post Sanders town hall by attacking Tulsi in a the worst way possible. Seriously who is this guy anyways what a pile of crap.

That was hard to watch. I like the younger lady who called out burn on his obvious communist leanings. He’s explanation of a “democratic socialist” was exactly what I thought. It’s not like he’s on video praising fidel for “poor people to rise up against ugly rich people” or endorsing communist revolutions across the world or anything

Of course when he’s called out on his past ways he ducks and dodges with the best of the goof troops here, I can see why they like him

Its going to be bernie and hes going to come out of this primary after winning the royal rumble and he will win the title at mania .... as it should be

To be frank, Bernies window has already come and gone.

Bernies Wrestlemania story arc is more along the lines of John Cena challenging The Undertaker last year. Bernie will talk a big game about how he wants to challenge President Trump at the grandest stage of them all, but when President Trump's music actually hits, Bernie knows he's about to get squashed like the greenest jobber to ever job.

more like kofi or dbry

He hasnt

Im just projecting my hopes on him cuz he seems like he might be an upstanding dude with a personality that gives him a shot at winning and thats some brutal honesty there .

I appreciate the honesty. I'm just speechless now knowing how many Democratic voters formulate ideas and loyalties like this

The souther states (including Florida and Virginia) will be brutally bad for Bernie. That will look more like Brock Lesnar beating down Randy Orton and opening him up hard way.

The Southern states will reject a Socialist so thoroughly that it will remind the Democrats why they don't run Socialists in the first place.

Probably true despite the deep south relying on federal aid more than the NE or mid-west.

<TrumpWrong1>

He’s literally a shirtless drunk commie who honeymooned in the Soviet Union.

"If we're talking about impeaching trump we won't be talking about issues like homophobia...."

Really? Is homophobia a issue?

I know your republican brethren are not going to fix healthcare and im a single issue voter so I vote for anyone not them who I think might be able to beat them and get that ball rolling

Its not simplistic so much as its pragmatic

I wish i could vote on other issues because I am a lot more conservative than most liberals i meet but I was born disabled and am always one incident away from ruin

get back to me when bernie cancels private property

Until then your just being a propagandist

Warren looked solid.

Had a very strong showing with her plan to implement a wealth tax to pay for universal Pre K, college and eliminate student debt.

She made compelling argument for breaking up Amazon's line of businesses

Warren makes some good points here.
Regulation should be oriented towards making room for the middle class for equal opportunity to compete.
This is a different message than burn talking about greedy millionaires.
If middle class entrepreneurs can develop ideas and make millions who actually loses?
Over Taxing rising entrepreneurs can hurt everyone.

Klobuchar, impressive and on point, smart as hell. I'm confident in her leadership qualities.

If whipping staplers at subordinates qualifies as "leadership qualities" I think Kloby has the right stuff.

He still has the wall as a rallying cry but he failed to get that done when he had a GOP House and Senate.

And saying Mexico would pay for the wall has a much better ring to it than saying the children of active duty US soldiers will pay for the wall by foregoing new schools.

Warren: "The game is rigged!"
Sanders: "We need a new game."

A huge distinction in economic critique. Capitalism has an inherent, structural problem. Not a "too many cheaters" problem.

News networks are garbage. Every time I see a clip, they talk over each other for a lot of it because they know it’s about sound bytes and you get little time to make your point because of the time window. I don’t think many people put any weight into these type of platforms anymore. Why listen to garbage like that when you can find a long form interview if you really are interested in what Tulsi has to say. It’s annoying to see how weak minded the boomer generation was with these mediums.

What is the suggestion here then? Despite Bernie’s rhetorical distain for capitalism, I don’t think it would go away if he had a two term presidency. Do you think it would?

Harvard and MIT? She looks big enough to go to both simultaneously lol.

Never heard Bernie claim to be against capitalism. He wants to heavily regulate.

I'm not going to clutch my pearls about somebody being mean to staff, honestly. I think it sucks for her subordinates, and it's totally understandable that they would selfishly speak out against her candidacy, but it's simply not that important. It's another "purity test."
