1. At that time Gomi was in his prime and the champ. The fight was equally relevant if not more.
2 Nobody gave Nick a chance against Gomi, just like many experts and fans didn't give a chance to Nate.
3. Gomi hurt Nick big time in the first round. Conor caught Nate with clean shots in the first round as well. Only difference is that Nick actually got knocked to the floor once.
4. Gomi got tired, Conor got tired.
5. Gomi went for the takedown, Conor did the exact thing.
6. Both got submitted after that.
7. Both Diaz faces looked worse than their opponents. Specially Nick eyes looked like shit.
Major difference is that Gomi showed more heart. He was able to keep standing even after like 10 punches landed by Nick.
