Nick Diaz has been getting tons of hate for not winning in 5 years, yet no one seems to pay attention to the fact that he's only had 3 fights in that time span losing two decisions to the top 2 WWs during that period (Condit loss is still debated because of how close it was). And his third loss which is technically a NC was against arguably the greatest fighter if all time AND he still didn't get knocked out!

So yeah with that being said I don't think Diaz necessarily deserves a title shot, but he's still a top WW who dismantled BJ Penn and missed his shot at GSP when he had all of the momentum in the world. Cut him some slack.

I think he deserves the shot, and AS deserves a shot at either or both DC and MB.

it's not even hate for Diaz. it's distaste for bullshit title bouts. I don't know what's hard to understand...

A chubby bj penn is his best win. Bj even won the first round. Let that sink in.

He needs to start at the bottom of the ladder and he is NOT a draw.

How many title shots is this guy going to get after not winning a fight to earn one?

The 1st round is usually just a warm up for the Diaz bros :)

Srsly though, I love watching Nick Diaz fight but regardess of whether he lost a close fight or not he is still coming off several losses. It doesn't mean he's not a great fighter but imo he does need to beat someone in the top 10 (better still top 5) before he deserves a title shot though.

The guy could be on a 10 fight losing streak but his internet fansboys would still believe he deserves another title shot.

I , 1000% support a totally natural tough guy. There are not too many UFC fighters that I can say with confidence that they are totally clean.

Nick and Nate are two tough as nails string beans fighting cheaters and doing a good job keeping up.

Nick is one of the most overrated fighters I've ever seen. His biggest win in the past 10 years was over a way, way-past-his-prime B.J. Penn (or a way, way-past-his-prime Frank Shamrock... take your pick).

He falters every single time he fights a top-10 opponent.

Agreed. Title fights won't always go to the most deserving contender, and that's fine. I think most people can accept that fact. But title shots should go to someone who's at least somewhat deserving.
