Nick Diaz way overrated? A look at his record

It's going to be funny when Anderson stands 2 feet away from Nick and fans call him a coward for ducking punches.
Hahahaha, yup.

You can never really beat Nick Diaz, because if you play his game, he's going to win, and if you do the smart thing (that is to say, do literally anything but play his game), you get shat on by all the ignorant Diaz fanboys who actually seem to think there's something wrong with defending punches by using footwork or head movement.

smh it was a glorified sparring match and condit still won

that fight was worse than boetsch/lombard & lil nog/evans mixed together lol
Ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration. That fight was NOT worse than Nog/Evans. Condit and Diaz actually landed strikes on one another, unlike Nog and Rashad, who basically played patty-cake for 15 minutes.

haha yeah it was still pretty bad though, and 10 minutes longer

He comes in and faces strikers( heavy hitters) on the feet. He's not afraid to take punches and he and he never stalls. Sure, record wise he's not the best but when you think of fighting Diaz is one of the first to come to mind.

He's very overrated man. 7-6 in the UFC & hasn't won since 2011? That's elite?

Only if you're Nick Diaz.

Much in the same way that Mike Pyle, Akiyama, and Paul Daley are notable wins, and 175 is Welterweight-- if you're Jake Shields.

Here is the problem with sooooo many "Diaz is overrated" threads: WHO exactly is running around and claiming Diaz is so incredible in the first place? Why is it that some folks think you are either the best, or not worth talking about? This Ricky-Bobby "if you ain't first you're last" is just that...comedic b.s. :D

Diaz is allegedly overrated in the same way Sonnen is allegedly overrated - two very talented guys whose career accomplishments have exceeded what their skills alone probably should have brought them.

Through a combination of being very talented, working extremely hard, being willing to fight anyone in multiple weight classes, and by cultivating their on-camera personality, both guys (despite being very different inside and outside the cage) have managed to have careers that most other fighters can only dream of having...

overrated? who gives a f**k? countless fans and haters will still be tuning in to his fight with Silva.

I hope that some angry metal mulisha rapper releases a song entitled "1, 3, 5!" along with a music video. We all need it.

styles make fights. Diaz would lose to Hendricks but would knock out Robbie again.

Oh, another guy who didn't bother watching the fights made a shitty thread based on his Wikipedia knowledge!

MMA math, serious business.

I've seen several of his old UFC fights and every fight of he joined strikeforce lol

don't try and discredit the messenger

See, that is overrating him since it has been almost two years since he last fought and he has apparently spent a ton of time getting is life together, which presumably means he has not been training for at least some of that time like an upper echelon fighter. At this point, making the assumption that he beats anyone in the top 10 is overrating him. Since, again, as pointed out ad nauseam, a bloated, "unmotivated" BJ penn remains his biggest win at WW, and Penn almost managed to win a round of that fight.

Is Lawler a wrestler who is going to put Diaz down? Or he is more likely to brawl with Diaz with a smile on his face while holding his hand?

And Anderson Silva had been cherry picking easy style matchups for years until he ran out of easy fights in the top 10.

To be fair, Gomi was a killer when Nick fought him. That win was legit as fuck.
