Nick Diaz situation - Let's be honest:

Dana White wants Nick Diaz to fight 185 pounders? Wasn't there a talk of Diaz vs Machida (a 205 pounder) at 185 pounds a while ago? Now Diaz vs Bisping? I mean seriously, Nick is a very good fighter, but does anybody think he will beat a big, elite 185 pounder who comes into the octagon over 200 pounds? I mean really?

It's idiotic to suggest that Diaz sould fight at 185. He isn't even an overly large WW, and has never had trouble making weight.

    He missed weight once.

I think he was coming off an illness at the time so I'm not disagreeing with you. I just found the "never had trouble making weight" part a little off.

This is a pretty silly move on the part of Diaz and the UFC. I really think Diaz doesn't think he can win consistently and that is why he is constantly looking for big name fights so he can cash in. I don't think he has any intention on being a normal fighter fighting 2-3 times a year and working his way up to the title.

I for one and done with the Diaz show. He couldn't hang with the top WWs and he's not going to be able to hang with the top MWs.

He had just competed in a triathlon and had swallowed a bunch of salt water, made the cut a bitch.

If he wants to fight w/o cutting weight who are you to say anything about that?

Dude is very talented and has earned the right to do what he wants. He's a vet.

I guess if you want to knock a guy who was sick for not making weight one time, I guess that's up to you

Bisping will be fun because of the pre-fight shit talk. But no, Nick should not remain at 185. He'll get brain damage fighting those bigger dudes and let's face it, Nick isn't exactly a Mensa candidate.

dude, you obviously misunderstood the circumstances. "competing in a triathon" is code for having a train run on you & swallowing a bunch of salt water. i will admit, it does indeed make cutting a bitch.

I doubt he'll have any issues at 185.

See no issue with it. He'll likely punch bisping a lot.

Any fight with a name and a voice is good for Nick Diaz if he chooses to return to the big show.

He is not really a contender in either WW or MW at the moment and he might not even have the drive to invest himself in that any longer.

At this point fights for Diaz are going to be about $$$.

Win or lose, he will get asses in the seats and tally up some PPV sales on behalf of the UFC and make some bank for himself.

Diaz fans should stop worrying about him losing. He can handle the fight just fine. Dana is unlikely to release him unless he suddenly goes far off the rails. Diaz is one of those guys that is good for the UFC win or otherwise.
