I didn't care too much about Woodley calling out Diaz since the UFC hasn't cared about earning a title shot in a while like when they made Sonnen vs Jones and Bisping vs Hendo recently but this stat is pretty embarrassing.

That or some dude who's retired. Can't blame any fighter for wanting money fights but this is an especially strange call by Woodley. At least Bisping has got some reason to fight Hendo.

Woodley is just straight up scared of Thompson.

I wouldn't care THAT much if I thought Diaz was going to be in an exciting fight, but when's the last time that even happened? Not against GSP, Condit, Silva, Penn. I honestly can't remember.

Against better fighters he can't implement his game so it's dull. That said I could see a fight against Woolley being a barn burner. IMO he is more exciting against aggressive strikers / wrestlers, just not counter punchers or wrestlers with great him jitsu.

But he won the Condit fight you goof. :D

And his last fight is a NC going up a weight class and going vs the GOAT of that division. (other champs didn't dare to do it)

Context and all that is nice to have.

Yeah, it does a disservice to Nick Diaz and the belt. It's a circus these days and the UFC and the "Fun fight" fans are to blame for it.

If they want this fight so bad they should get Nick Diaz a win from the top 10.

if one can believe tyron, he said nick was the man in strikeforce when he (tyron) was coming up in that organization. he always envisioned fighting nick for the belt. and now that the ufc is opening the purse strings, he feels nick (as a pioneer of mma) should collect a huge payday.

not sure i believe that entirely, but tyron did not accept gastelum's fine/penalty for missing weight in their fight, so maybe he is truly altruistic.

They offered him Gunnar which would have been a fun fight but Nick Divaz turned it down.

Maybe it's because fighters aren't fixated on fightfinder and recognize great talent.

When you resort to calling BJ Penn "a FW" to support your argument.. that shows just how weak your argument is.

It's hilarious how some people can spin things into an argument that suits their side of things. Some people on Shedog claim BJ Penn is P4P one of the best fighters ever. They say he fought at LHW b/c he wasn't scared of anyone and that a win against him is a HUGE feather in your cap.
Then this guy comes along and claims he's some random FW to try to discredit Diaz. I for one don't care as much and Wins and Loses. I find Nick exciting both inside and outside the cage. I'd rather watch him fight than half these other WWs.
