Nick Diaz Bare Knuckle MMA Fight

Nick had some nice kicks back then

Bare Knuckle MMA was getting in the way of his weed smoking.

Seemed like Nick lost his cool when that guy mocked him with that Karate Kid shit lol.

It's silly to call it a "bare knuckle MMA fight" when they have clearly agreed to open-hand Pancrase-style rules. Bare knuckles are literally the main thing mostly missing from the contest.

Still incredibly awesome

Seemed to me like he was using open hand strikes to protect his knuckles. The ground and pound near the end (5:08) certainly doesn't look like open hand strikes.

That is in keeping with Pancrase-style rules. Fist strikes allowed to the body, open-hand only to the face & head.

Have you seen this one of Nate Diaz?

So awesome.

Poor tough older dude didn't know what he had coming, underneath that dyed-blonde schmuck veneer was a Diaz brother.

No offense but can you look again at 5:08 to 5:12? Those shots are clearly to the head and clearly closed fist.

Yeah no prob. I checked it out again just to be sure, but yeah those are definitely open-hand Pancrase-style strikes. These two are clearly fighting under those rules. You'd be surprised the damage some people can do when someone really knows how to adapt with a stiff hand & throw their arms into it like that. Bas Rutten used to knock people out with open hands sometimes in Pancrase.

Man I've watched it a couple times now on that section and he seems to my eye to be throwing closed fists to the head when the other guy is on bottom. Its hard to judge grainy as it is though.

Good open hand strikes thrown with bad intentions may look that way sometimes. You are witnessing the full power of the Stockton Slap.

Hahaha gotta love Nate Diaz with the Sage Northcutt frosted tips. Also, can't really tell from the angle, but is his first strike thrown a Stockton Slap?
