A big fan of his fights and his style, but at this point I wouldn't mind seeing him fight his way back up. Tons of fights out there, at different weight classes. Why doesn't Ufc put him at main event. Pay him the 50k/50k and give him a percentage of PPV points. Nick is a draw, hence my thread and all the others wanting him to fight. He just needs the right opponent for the PPV buys to be huge
Nick vs Anderson
Nick vs Robbie lawler part 2

Fans want these non title fights and they would sell huge numbers

If he wins he moves closer to title bouts and if it's a huge PPV sell it's a win win situation

That's if Robbie accepts the Diaz fight b4 he gets title match after beating Matt brown. Robbie is a fighter and I could see him gladly fighting nick 1st to redeem his loss years ago

Nope. wtf I wanna see him do that for? He's done with those contender fights. Why would you wanna see that? He's the man. Let him get that title shot bro

UFC should just give him the belt and a hundred billion dollars.

What does the UFC lose from paying Nick 500k?

Isn't the UFC valued @ 3 billy? How much does fake snow cost? Can Renan still get payed more?

Nick doesn't deserve Lawler, and the only reason I don't mind Anderson personally isn't because I'd love to watch him try and be cocky against Anderson just to get laid out. He should be earning his way back up to the big fights, but he refuses to, and the UFC will cave and give him something high profile just to get him back in the octagon.

Just give Nick a big bag if of Good Grass....he'll fight anyone...he don't need no stinking money...

Somewhat agree, but if Robbie wants Diaz I think he has earned the right for a rematch. A 5 round fight would be epic. Remember Diaz fights hitters and no one hits harder than Robbie

Nick draws about the same as Aldo or Barao, which is on the low end by UFC standards. This myth about him being a draw really needs to die. The only time he's broken 400K buys is against GSP who is the biggest draw in the UFC, which was also promoted using the UFC Primetime specials. Primteime specials always draw at least another 100-200K fans. If you factor that in, the numbers of Diaz vs GSP were lower than average for GSP. Nick is a popular fighter and his fans very outspoken but he simply is NOT a draw. He should work his way up like he should have done in the first place. He's made himself irrelevant by not fighting hardly at all the last couple years. He is still main event worthy on a fight night card though and could easily work his way up if he can hang with the new 170lbers. Personally I don't think he'd do that well against most top 10 guys though.

Nick Diaz....at this point, I wish everyone would stop talking about him.

Nick is one of the biggest draws. I could say the same thing about Sonnen really, how much ppvs did he sell vs Okami?
Truth is his fight with GSP did more than following GSP fights, that says something, people want to see him fight.

he isnt worth any ppv points nor a main event....

nick has fought for ten years, been threw a lot of wars, and was very successful. The fans are desperate for nick's return, but at the end of the day nick doesn't care to fight. the UFC would also love to see him back, and his brother for that matter. But nick imo doesn't have the motivation anymore to fight his way back to title contention so he's only willing to come back for a big fight/title shot. and honestly i loved watching nick's come up threw elite/pride/strikeforce to build his name back up b/c he was hungry/motivated/angry/disrespected, but nick isn't gonna be that fighter anymore i think that is clear. He is willing to come back only for a pay day he put his time in.

nick "if the money is right" diaz

That's backwards logic. They run the primetimes on the PPV's that they know will draw big anyway. Sure they help draw some ppv buyers but it's not like running a primetime magically gets you 100-200k more buys.
