    I use that kimura to kata gatame transition a lot in no-gi especially. Although I've never been able to finish kata gatame when the guy is on his side like he's showing. I either drag them back flat on the ground or attack the back from there.

    I like that stuff, but I usually prefer to armbar if the kimura isn't working. Also in the gi I'd go to the wing choke before arm triangle.
