Surely Colorado don't have the cap space for that. Buddy who's a life long habs fan told me the other day though that the word is the habs would eat half the salary. Bergy really managed to destroy 2 months of goodwill in about 7 days huh?

Even if Montreal retained 50%, how the hell would Edmonton fit him under the cap?

This is the most Oilers move ever.

Wouldn't be the first time. Just when you start respecting him is when his inner douche pounces.

Looked like Quick made a bunch of highlight reel saves too.

Just looking at that 2015 draft now solidifies how amazing McDavid is in relation to his peers. The #2 scorer is Mitch Marner with 379, 3rd is Aho with 357, 4th is Rantanen with 356 and 5th is Eichel with 355. Every single one of those players is considered a fantastic superstar and top player in the league.

    McDavid is #1 with.......627 points. That's disgusting.<Eek2.0>

the 2003 draft was long considered the deepest best draft of all time, but I think 2015 is going to be the new bar in a few years

2017 top 5 is pretty good too:
Hischier, Patrick, Heiskanen, Makar and Petterson.

    Top 5 is "ok"

Makar is the standout. Petterson would be close if he hadn't regressed so badly. His Hischier is....OK. 50 pointish player. Heiskanen is great but slow start. Patrick is a bust.

The depth of 2015 is more pronounced. Kyle Connor, barzal, Timo meier, werenski, provorov, konekny, boeser, Chabot, Ericsson ek, samsonov..that's just first round.

Sabastian Aho, roope hintz, Blackwood, cernak, cirelli, hill, kaprisov, Garland, Marino...there are like 100 NHLers coming out of this draft class.

Makar is the only one in that group that has a shot at HOF, and that's a 50/50

5 goal game for Timo Meier as Sharks sneak within 4 of Vegas for 1st and 4 above Flames in wildcard. Hope they keep it up and entice Hertl to re sign

It's way too early to be throwing around HoF for that draft year

Thankfully Vasilevskiy came through for me with over 27.5 saves.

I’m actually optimistic about the Penguins in the playoffs this season. Jarry is playing out of his mind, we found a very solid player in Evan Rodrigues.

I had Pettersson his rookie year in Fantasy Hockey, I remember picking him up in preseason and not feeling that confident at the time. Hate to see how much he’s regressed.
