Timestamp the technique Stipe should have done

Instead of going to the right to sit Ngannou down, he went left side to high clutch and pick him up wich is a bad decision again a guy 30lbs heavier than him.
Then he got brutalizing punished and was shook to try another TD.

Terrible performance by the champ.

Ngannou was gassed at the end of rd1.

Jones. All. Day.

Not surprising, Stipe was never a technical great, but was lucky to be in the division during its weakest post Pride FC period. Nothing against Stipe, he’s a great person and a tough bastard.

Ngannou is also lucky to a similar extent, although he’s a different kettle of fish given his insane genetics.

You don't need great TDD in today's HW division tho. Ppl are vastly overrating Francis but no surprise their low IQ peabrains can't call much

Just look at the size difference When Stipe try to take Francis down... Felt like a WW trying to take down Jan... Power and average takedown defense is all that needed to beat any Wrestling expert

Right. The takedown wasn't there. Plus, he made the mistake of trying to finish Frank early. He should have let him burn himself out for the rest of round 2 and be content to hit the occasional shot. Whatever improvements Frank made, he wouldn't have tripled/quadrupled his gas tank.

It was one moment of pretty good takedown defense. Nothing more, nothing less. To try to measure how much Francis has worked on and improved his wrestling just by that isn’t very practical.

Jones has much better offensive wrestling than Stipe, a better top game, better striking defense, better cardio and is better at executing game plans. Not to mention the fact that he’s already bigger than Stipe. I’m not sure Jones is what he once was, but he’s a legitimate challenge for Francis

Stipe was champ during times when Ngannou was on top of the HW roster.
lol
try harder @ trolling.

He’s naturally considerably smaller than Stipe. Surely that has to mean something?

Also, the most mentally resilient fighter ever seen in MMA history and has a chin made out of brick who would pressure the fuck out of you relentlessly after eating bombs like nothing. We haven't seen him get rocked or dropped over the last 12 years of his career.

You’re right. Stipe was winning the fight everywhere, Ngannou had nothing for him, but that one mistake cost him dearly.

Am I doing this right?

His TDD is definitely far from stellar, since such a skill isn't built that easily, but it is still leaps and bounds above that in his previous fights.

He also took Stipe down after that.
