Ya i know that was lame lol, but I wanted your opinion on why this guy is already being touted as the next champ?

I mean sure, he hits hard, but who has he fought so far? His last two stoppages were against the most glass jawed HWs maybe of all time. They also happened to be his biggest wins. Now I understand the HW pool isnt every big, and Francis has definitely made a big splash, but do you think this may be too soon? I can already see him getting blinded by the bright lights and almost over confident with the media. I love his story and do want to see him win, but would have also have like to see him tested maybe once more. Then again, like i said, it slim pickins in his division.

I believe Stipe will stand, but will probably use it to set up takedowns and test his ground game. Any which way, im looking forward to a great fight and we will all hopefully see it go more than a couple rounds.

thats actually more accurate than the way schaub pronounces his name

Maybe, just maybe it could be because he is about to fight for the title and is the favorite.

Dana is hoping that he can make the HW division stop looking like a bunch of fat middle aged men throwing pillow fists at eachother.

Too bad Stipe is going to knock him out cold.

The hype around him is getting ridiculous. He's been impressive but aside from Overeem, he's yet to face much top competition. Whenever a hot, new, undefeated fighter comes along people think he's superman... until he loses, then they realize he's human like the rest.

Stipe by GNP

This fight will tell us where he truly is, talent-wise.

This is a huge step up in competition for him, against a savvy vet, and a damn solid champion.

He is relatively young, fresh, with decent fundamentals and with freakish physical talents and razor focus.

That's really all it takes at HW, for better of worse.

He is great at picking his shots and seeing opening, while Stipe is still relatively hitable.

Haha, yes, but what i meant was people are pretty much overlooking stipe and just hailing him the best hw and champ already.

Thread title was actually pretty good, give yourself some credit TS.

Also....how would he handle a cain velasquez if he ever came back? I think cain would do to him what cormier did to anthony.

I got Miocic in this one, I have said it before I think the only heavyweight that can defeat Stipe is Velasquez. Guess we will see soon enough.

Francis Ngannou might be the closest thing (if he goes and sleeps stipe) to the MMA version of Mike Tyson.
....... and BELIEVE ME, he'll be promoted as such.

It's HW, nobody knows who's gonna win.

However, dismissing a win over Been is hilarious. There is not a person on planet Earth who takes that punch and doesn't go to sleep. Nothing to do with a glass jaw.

because just like a young vitor, ngannou has no known weaknesses
