The brakes getting pumped a bit on Herbert? Made some great throws, threw multiple picks, and has blown three enormous late leads.

I think he has a great future but the hype was getting a bit out of control.

He was considered a prospect coming in and is making rookie mistakes. I think the excitement is over the arm talent / ceiling he has shown.

I mean he has 14 touchdowns in the last 4 games - I wasn't trying to say he's just a rookie playing better than expected, those are elite numbers. This is not a shot at Lock, but to compare Lock has 12 career touchdowns in 10 games. He's had a few back breaking INTs, but he has put them in positions to win, ex: game winning drive and the kicker misses the kick. Hard to put it all on him, can't expect a rookie to overcome a franchises choking nature.

Like I said, I think he has a bright future but the crowning felt premature. Part of that choking was throwing key INT’s that allowed a 2-4 team back into a game where they were down by 21.

Nah. Hes balling, but things get more difficult the more tape that is available and the more everyone starts getting their legs under them. A rookie playing at his level is nearly unheard of.

Far and away the steal of the draft so far and I hate that he landed in the division.
