Next HW Title Shot - fresh blood?

With a win over Mark Hunt on the 11th of February Curtis Blaydes, currently ranked 9th, would be on 4 wins in a row. Hunt is 5th, his last 3 are NC - L - W.

Volkov is 3-0 in the UFC, ranked 7th.

Black Beast and Tybura are fighting a week later on the 18th of February, they are both WWL and are ranked 6th and 8th.

Otherwise the potential challenger with the best record is Werdum, ranked 4th, who's on 2 wins.

So there's no one clear candidate head and shoulders above the others in terms of getting a TS at the moment - probably UFC will wait until the 18th of Feb when things will be a bit clearer. But really Blaydes with a W over Hunt, or Volkov are the top candidates for a TS at the moment, interestingly.

A lot of people don't know this.. but Curtis Blaydes and Stipe train together all the time and Blaydes helps Stipe with all the wrestling, but they keep it quiet. I don't think they would ever fight.

Out of the rest.. they will probably go with Werdum again, I want it to be Cain, but its just so hard to think about because you always feel he is gonna pull out. Hard to get excited about it.

I'm not convinced by Volkov, I thought he got beat by Tim Johnson, that fight was a robbery and awful judging. I am not convinced. I thought Johnson won every round.

My dream is Stipe vs Vitaly Minakov, but I know it would never happen sadly.

Yup. Minakov and Pavlovich for starters. Old legends should go to Rizin and take their vitamins to end their careers decently and with less harm to their health.

Yeah, good point on that. We forget Rothwell already beat Reem and Barnett....when he comes back he could make some noise. Same with JDS.
