Whose next for Money Mendes? I'd have to think he probably has a fight booked that hasn't been announced. And with almost every top guy at 145 booked right now I only see a few matchups that would make decent sense.

- Mendes vs Do Bronx

- Mendes vs Bermudez

I think both would be solid matchups, and I'd be especially interested in Mendes vs Oliviera. And I have a feeling that what we're gonna get.

Who are you hoping to see next for Chad Mendes?

Mendes vs Hacran Dias/Kawajiri

Cub vs Bermudez or Bermudez vs Oliveira

I think Bermudez.
It would be a pretty good match, and if Chad loses, you have a very similar fighter taking his place in the elite.

Let him heal up till Barao/Stephens fight.

If Barao wins, Mendes vs. Barao.

If Stephens wins.... well same

I think he's close to retiring. He seems more passionate about hunting now and he's trying to get a hunting tour business off the ground. I think he'll probably fight again for the pay, but I doubt we'll see him be in title contention again despite his talent.

I like Mendes vs Bermudez. Chad has been fighting nothing but top five opponents for the last couple years, he deserves a small step down so he can try to get back into the win column.

TJ version of Mendes was a really great fighter. He needs Bang.

These two quotes don't make sense when considered together. Supposedly he's been only fighting top 5's, but all of his Bang-era KO victories were over un-ranked fighters. I love Chad, but you really have to be objective when talking a fighter up.

That being said, I don't disagree that more striking emphasis would be helpful. Fighting Edgar made it clear that someone of his body-width may struggle to compete with someone as fidgety and light as Edgar, so he needs to be more measured and really capitalize on his power strikes and set things up properly.

I like the Mendes-Bermudez matchup. Dennis usually puts on a crazy pace, and the "full camp Chad" talk still swirls around Sherdog now and then. Test his full camp cardio against a cardio machine with a similar niche in the FW hierarchy and let the dust settle.

i personally would like
Mendes vs stephens and cub vs bermudez

the winners of these fights could match up.
It would give Mendes an opportunity to earn solid wins.

Probably Hacran Dias. Both ranked and both coming off losses, Mendes is a familiar face in Brazil so they could put that as a co-main on a fight night card in a cattleshed somewhere in the jungle.

Bermudez, Penn, Dias, Swanson or even Alvarez or Pettis if either came down to 145..

He should retire. I don't wanna see him getting knocked out repeatedly.

Cub should consider that fight get his name in the mix again, been years since they last fought and both waaay different than WEC days

I'd prefer to see him sit another 6 months, give his brain some time to recover. I think his chin might be cracked, which I hope to god that's not the case.
