I just saw on Bloody elbow that UFC is planning to have 13 UFC events in Brazil next year and Dana White was talking about the massive talent in Brazil. That got me thinking, who will be Brazil's next UFC star? I'm thinking about Brazilian prospects who are already in the UFC but get only prelim fights at the moment, but I couldn't remember anyone who I have been particularly impressed with. I'm not thinking about established UFC fighters like Erick Silva. None of the TUFers have impressed me enough so I could see them become a Aldo/Barao kind of star.

What Brazilian fighter do you think will break through as a real star in the UFC in the next couple of years?

Renato "Moicano" Carneiro (but brace yourselves, his god speech is worse than Belfort's), Jonas Bilharinho, Carlos Agusto Inocente (not a "new" start, but a very talented fighter)...

Where's Toninho Furia? I watched a few of his fights and he looked like a beast. Never heard of him again, tho

Eric Silva has potential. If he beats DHK in dominant fashion, I could easily see him being a headliner for a fight night, or a Co-main for a ppv.

Edit: I didn't read all the OP.

The competition he's been fighting isn't to the level that would test him enough, although going 28-0 is damn impressive regardless of the opposition, and with the VERY limited footage out there of him he does look skilled.

He's 19 and his coach said he doesnt want him signing to the UFC for a couple of years.

    Yeah, why?
He has the perfect grapplefuck style to UFC.

He would have been at the top of my list if he wasn't signed to Bellator.

Can't believe I forgot Sheymon Moraes.

No punch power, your grappling game is average and half of your victories were robbed.

We're talking about different guys then.
His grappling game is above average, he is a soft puncher indeed, just like Shields, L

He is 3-0 and his 3 opponents combined record is 2-9. He was going to fight Sapp too but The Beast pulled off due injury.

    I don
