Old School:
Fedor is the greatest of all time

Newbie:
Fedor or GSP are GOATs only because Jon Jones and A. Silva tested positive and they are not liked in Stormfront forums.

Old School:
Pride was the best ever!!!! Even with their fighters taking PEDs with no tests being implemented.

Newbie:
USADA is the greatest thing to happen in this world and all MMA fighters should be tested 24/7 and only be allowed to breathe air.

Old School:
Early MMA were brutal but so fun to watch.

Newbie:
Holy coyote there was actually MMA before 2010?

Old School:
You only need Muay Thai as your stand up weapon to do well in MMA. Boxing would never work.

Newbie:
Conor McGregor is the greatest boxer of all time who hits harder than Mike Tyson but did not get to hurt Mayweather with that uppercut due to him wearing 30 ounce gloves and he only lost because of his cardio since he does not fight past 25 minutes.

Old School:
Any wrestler can come to MMA and dominate the sport.

Newbie:
Lesnar is a fake wrestler who only won because he was bigger.

Old School:
Karate would never work in MMA.

Newbie:
Conor would beat every kickboxer who has ever existed because of Karate.

Old School:
Royce Gracie is a God who could take out an entire army with Brazilian Jujitsu. Or...Fedor is a God who can impregnate my girlfriend so that I can be the father of his baby!!!

Newbie:
McGregor is a God who could take out an entire army with his boxing and who can impregnate my girlfriend so I that can be the father of his baby!!!

Old School: holy shit!!!! PRIDE is this weekend!!! There are like 10 amazing fights!!!

New school: who da fook are all these guys? I hardly know any of the names on this UFC card!

old school means pre-tuf (or at least pre-brocktober). none of us thought ronda was anything but a can crusher.
 
I started watching MMA around 94-95 via Blockbuster video, and a lot of the "old school" fans around here are huge hypocrites. Examples...

"Pride was the greatest Org ever and had the best talent"

"WME is ruining the sport with interim titles and Freak Show fights."

"Nothing Jon Jones did counts, because of PED's"

"Pride Wanderlie Silva is a top 5 all time LHW"

"Fedor is the Goat and was a shell of himself when he got beat"

"GSP fought weak competition and lost to Matt Serra"

Don't get me wrong Pride was awesome and Fedor was a great fighter, but a lot of the old school fans romanticize it a bit too much.

I think most would agree that an old school mma fan is a fair ways before Rhonda got popular...
 
On the other hand a lot of the newbie fans think that more organizations is better for the sport. It may be better for the fighters, but it sucked when all of the talent was split up between Pride and the UFC, then later on with Strikeforce and the WEC.

Everything being absorbed into one company was awesome we got to see a lot of fights that would have never been possible.

I started following MMA when I saw a highlight of Wand almost killing Rampage but I believed (and STILL believe) that R3 is a #OnceEverAthlete

It's striking fanboys who don't believe in #OnceInHumanHistory! ;)
