new video: Anderson Silva training boxing

Does those masks really help the training? Or a better question; is it worth using them instead of doing extra cardio work? Especially considering he really isn't doing any heavy training in the vid. Feels like it's more of a burden to your technique work than anything else.

Apparently he's trying out for the brazilian boxing team for the 2020 olympics.

Nope, studies already shown these masks have no to negative effect on the training results but they are still widely used in combat sports like many other bad training habits used even by renowned trainers. :icon_evil

That's what I thought, knew I read something about it.

Yup. Read that it rather impacts cardio negatively, because you gas out faster, thus perform less.

Be careful about worshipping studies. Those with extensive knowledge of statistical methodology know that the vast majority of studies have serious flaws with their methodology. A lot of trainers have correctly ignored "studies" only for those same studies to get disproven later by more studies.

But can it help him get a stiffy?
