The interview was given for the local TV station, it is in Croatian, however, I translated the parts in which CC is talking. It was a fun interview, for all those CC's fans out there!

On Anthony Hamilton as a future opponent
CC: There is no any underestimation [of Hamilton], moreover, I never underestimated any of my opponents. The guy is younger, heavier, taller...so...I need to show up in best possible shape. I am confident in my victory, however, I do not expect it is going to be easy to achieve it...I will need to be fully prepared.
On UFC plans after fight against Hamilton
CC: After this fight I will do a 3rd fight [on UFC contract], and that fight will definitely feature one of those fighters that I really want to fight, one of those that were on "my list" so to speak, when I was making a new contract with the UFC.
On how his family handles his fighting lifestyle
CC: It is extremely stressful for them. Unfortunately, or fortunately... depends on how you look at it...this sport is not a tennis. I absolutely love tennis, but what can happen to you in a tennis match? The worst thing that can happen is if the tennis ball hits you in your genital area, if your opponent made a really bad serve or something...When the match is over, you handshake with the guy, if you lost...you shrug your shoulders and life goes on. In a couple of days, you will have a new tournament, a new match and so on. This is not like this [MMA]. In this sport, you can get seriously hurt.
On what would he like for his sons to do in life and what if they decide to become MMA fighters
CC: God forbid if they make that choice, but if they do, I will not stand in their way. But...they already hang out at our gym all the time, my older son is 12.5 years old, he trains wrestling and is very successful in that sport. He has a good genetic background, exceptional coordination and he is very strong for his age. But personally, If you ask me...I would like him to be a scientist or something, rather than a fighter. It would be hard for me to see my kid bleeding somewhere, fighting against somebody and live in a constant fear that some bad injury could happen to them.
What if his kids really decide to pursue MMA?
CC: I will support them to a maximum extent if they make that choice. They will have the best coach they could possibly get [in me], at least to a degree that one father can manage. It would certainly be easier if I would coach somebody else than your own blood.
On nutrition
CC: I generally eat lots of white meat (chicken etc.), lots of water, I take vitamin supplementation. I replenish with some protein supplements in-between workouts and some fruits in the evening...but in terms of actual food...I don't eat too much. Actually, I eat scarcely as of late.
