Cowboy keeps climbing the rankings after losing. He just needs to get KO'd a few more times to become the #1 contender.

They did the same thing with Nate. Nate wasn't in the top 10 and as soon as his fight with Conor was announced, suddenly he jumped up to like 6 or 7 in one ranking cycle without even fighting.

How exactly are you applying a fight at FW from 2014 to the 2020 LW rankings?

Dustin is 9-2-1 NC at LW in the UFC since that last FW fight.
Conor has a 1-1 record at LW in the UFC. He is 2-1 at WW against fellow LWs so even if you count those in his record he is 3-2. Also Dustin beat Joe Duffy who beat Conor with Ease.

See how that works.

Record vs record in the UFC at LW Dustin has an 82% win rate.
Conor is 50 % or counting the WW fights vs LWs he is at 60%.
Conor should be ranked well back in the LW ranks since he has so few wins (All 1 at LW).

Look, you know that the rankings are made up by 14 or so "media members" who aren't even all really media. It isn't exactly scientifically accurate. All I can ask is that they don't rank the losers of fights above their winners.

How Poirier is ranked above Conor is the real head scratcher - but not really considering the MMA media is terrified of being trolled by the mob of haters. Conor did much better against Khabib and beat the F outta Poirier already. It is funny when haters talk about a bias for Conor, when it is a well established fact that Conor has had the greatest bias against him in the MMA world/media/rankings owing to the mass troll armies of basement dwelling haters that have hated on him since day one. He is the only lineal champ-champ in UFC (male) history and in the deepest divisions, something that defines what P4P superiority is, but many never even had him ranked more than number 3, behind a juice head toorkey and a mallet that was terrified of fighting for another belt. Conor goes undefeated at FW and mows down everyone in mere seconds, but "no big deal....beating up on manliest" and " Aldo GOAT", and when Holloway's beats Aldo then "Holloway GOAT", yet they both got steam rolled by Conor and was never given the same clout treatment for doing so with many people....it's like these people are just desperate to diminish Conor that I am surprised Cowboy is not ranked above him.

- Islam moved up from 15 to 14, and Hernandez dropped from 14 to 15, even though neither of them fought last weekend

Basically if they swap Islam and Cowboy's rankings it will look about right.
