here it is.....got it today. Actually got two..the other one is solid purple. One question for you guys...how tight should it fit? It's tight. It's takes a bit of effort to get it off with both hands :) Is that good? I mean...it's comfortable....very comfortable. In fact I really can't beleive the difference between that and the boil and bite. I thought my shock doc fit good....but this is unbeleivable. I almost can't wait to get hit! Thanks Tom.

The fit changes from person to person depending on the anatomical structure of the dental arch. We try to keep them tight so they stay where they are supposed to. In your mouth. Last thing you want is your guard to fall out. Have fun with your new guards and THANK YOU.

Tom

It won't fall out...that's for sure :) Damn...I can't get over how good they feel. Well well worth the $$.

yeah i just got mine and when i rolled with it last night i was amazed. i could tell the difference from my shock doc just by wearing it, but when actually training with the guard in is a different story. i love mine! hey tom, how often do people put their bite(s) into the bottom of the guard? would you suggest doing it?

Sweet...I didn't know they could get such detailed images on them.

I'm excited for a mouth guard that won't fall out...i've only used the cheapo ones. Just one less thing to worry about when training...i want to think about what i'm doing and not "crap my guard is falling out"

My protech guard's being made right now...can't wait to get it!

What model did you get? double/triple/hybrid etc... I hate dentists so if buying a double keeps me out of the dentist chair I think I will have to get one.

I told Girljock up in the Platinum forums about the one I would get. For some reason, I keep dropping into the cesspool of my brain and want to put lewd things on a mouthguard. Whats the strangest thing you've seen on mouthguard's? A little off topic but I'm actually curious.

What? You haven't put the bite in? Yes put the bite ASAP. It is very important that everyone puts in their lower bite into their mouthguard. Doing so protects the lower jaw from lateral (left - right) and retrognathic (backward) excursions. You will also find increased comfort and closure of your mouth. ADD YOUR LOWER BITE!!!! regardless of what type of mouthguard you have this needs to be done. If anyone has any questions on how to do it you can send me a PM or I'll answer it on here for everyone to read.

She got two guards. Both are a Fusion style. The one with the image has one more extra layer of clear material on the outside to lock in the image. This will increase the size of the mouthguard slightly but inturn increases the protectiveness a little as well.

geez...I don't know....the Fusion I think...one below the pro. I"m soooo worried about my teeth...that's why I got the higher one. I"m sure it's very much overkill for me...but I feel better having it that way.

2nd this.....I was going to use a heat gun but maybee I will wait to see what the man has to say.

I need a double mouthguard cause I have braces :-\

I'm a straight shooting, conservative chrisitian, and an all around modle american...and that looks over the top to me.

These are the bite instructions that come back with every mouthguard ordered from us.
All mouthguards made out of EVA (standard mouthguard material can use these instructions. However since it is not a PROTECH guard we can not guarantee the same results and you should check with the mouthguard company that made your guard before trying this.

BITE INSTRUCTIONS________________________________________________________

To add your lower bite indentations to your guard you will need just a few things.

1. Bowl

2. Water

3. Microwave or pot to boil water

4. A few minutes of your time

DIRECTIONS

1. Place a ¼ inch of water into bowl and place in microwave for 2 min. or until water comes to a boil.

Do NOT boil water with mouthguard in bowl

1a. If there is no microwave available then boil small amount of water on a stove.
1b. After water comes to a boil turn of heat and follow instruction 2

2. Place mouthguard in bowl of preheated water FLAT SIDE DOWN for 45 seconds

3. Remove mouthguard from water and place in mouth DO NOT BITE INTO PLACE (Make sure guard is seated completely before next step)

4. Firmly bite down on Mouthguard until your front teeth slightly indent into the guard.

Repeat the process as many times as necessary to achieve desired bite. Be careful not to bite through the mouthguard.

If you go to your dentist you can get your impressions taken. Once you have them just about any custom fitted mouthguard company can make you a guard. The impressions should nly cost you about $30.00. Check around for prices.

Umm..the strangest things. We've had a pornographic colage, genitals, spread legs, a brown one that said EAT S***T in yellow, a pink one that said CRACKER in white....and more. You name it, I think we've put it on a guard

It's heavily recommended that you put in the underbite.

Mine was tiny compared to some of the guys that met Tom personally and Tom pulled out his blowtorch and help them to it. My hot water routine took quite a bit to do.

Heat gun? Like you're trying to recurve a hockey blade???

That's pretty extreme IMO

So Tom, how many people have microwaved a mouthguard?
