•On strikes to the head / brain damage:
He doesn't worry about it much consciously, but tries to take preventative measures so as to not get hit too much in the head. Says he's never been completely out, but he had come closer to getting knocked out in wrestling than MMA.
•On who he thinks will win Aldo vs Pettis if it happens:
Picked Aldo to win. He expects a striking battle and says that both guys have elite striking, but feels from watching him that Aldo's strikes have more power behind them(also talks about Aldo's defense a bit).
•On the loss to Alvarez:
Says he felt he had a good camp and a good gameplan, but Alvarez's movement(refers to it as running once, doesn't appear to have been meant offensively) gave him problems and that, though his overall style won't change, he has some work to do defensively(said he went into kill mode and didn't give Alvarez the respect he deserved) and that he will tweak his gameplan. He also said the RNC in the 5th was really deep and when he got out his body was tingling as though he was about to go out(considers the fact he got out of it a bit of a feather in his cap).
•On Alvarez:
Says that he doesn't know much of him personally, but the two wars they've had have made him respect him. He thinks Bellator tried to paint him as a worse guy than he is. Says he's happy to have had Alvarez as part of his career, because without him there was no one in Bellator who would have gotten him the recognition he's gotten. The rubber match will happen within the next 4-5 months(said 5 initially, then 4).
•On being on the PPV and Bellator's tournament structure:
Says he doesn't care much about it, as the process leading up to the fight is mostly the same. Doesn't think Bellator could pull off a PPV without him and Eddie. He's not a fan of the tournament structure mostly because of the the fact there was no one to fill in for Jansen when he got injured, due to the only other tournament winner at the time(Rickels) being at 205 lbs (said he should quit eating Taco Bell).
