We all know the mark-up on mattresses is crazy and we've all seen the numerous internet mattress commercials trying to take advantage of that. Well, now I'm in the market for some new mattresses (maybe 2 to 3) and I'm looking for some insider knowledge and testimonials.

What say you Sherdog, what is the best mattress for the buck?

I bought a Serta iSeries firm mattress. I bought it on Presidents’ Day. That’s the best time of the year to buy a mattress because you get the best deals. I got about 43% off my mattress and frame.
We are still breaking it in and getting used to it. It takes a little while. The mattress is higher off the ground. We like it so far.
I have slept in cheap crap my whole life. I felt spending the money on quality was worth it. We spend 1/3 of our lives sleeping, why not get something nice?

Also why 2 or 3...Be honest bro...

I got one of these a couple months ago and love it. I sleep really well on it, fall asleep fast and literally don't move at all thru the night. Really happy with it for the price.

I definitely need 2. My mattress and the guest mattress are old.
Then I have family coming out and I might put a new bed in the office for the wee man.

Nice mattresses are important, imo. My mattress was nice, but its ready to be sent to mattress heaven.

Helix mattress are custom made to your body/sleep pattern. I got one for the spare bedroom and sleep on it when my back acts up.

How long have you had it? Any issues at all?

Just over two months now and no complaints at all, back and shoulders love how this bed supports those pressure points. It feels very "floaty" and I like that. No dips or sink in spots yet and I do sleep in the same spot each night. I'm 6 foot 190 so I'm not a giant fatty or nothing.

My sister owns one for almost a year now that is one step firmer than the one I linked so got to lie down and try out hers before purchase on amazon. Easy as shit to open and setup too.

bought a serta I comfort with the adjustable tilt function. around $1800 but I don't fucking care.
it's my sleeps, bros!
and if that fails, I just sleep on the couch like I've always done.
:/
