Im addition to surrendering a portion of their purse:

1. They lose 1 point for every single round that goes into the books

2. They may not ascend in the rankings for winning a CW fight that didn’t occur in an official weight class

3. No fighter who missed weight may fight for the title without winning at least 2 more fights after missing weight.

4. The onus is now on the guy who MISSED weight on whether or not he wants to accept the fight, rather than pressuring the dedicated pro who made weight into fighting at a disadvantage.

Sick of seeing the pro who made weight get screwed while the lazy fatso who missed moves up.

They should make anyone who misses weight run 5km before the fight while wearing a weighted track suit (20% of their fight-night weight added to the suit)

And also no win bonus for fighters who miss weight and no chance at performance bonuses

They aren't allowed to sit on a stool between rounds and have to drink butter instead of water.

Or that public flogging idea is pretty good.

The only solution is to expand the weight classes. Your Band-Aids are not a solution.

Till vs Ngannou next fight ha. I say they wait until it happens with a match they aren’t scared of losing and make an example of the offender. Cancel the fight and fine them a large amount of money.

Same here. They can win, but cannot rise in the rankings since they don't actually weigh in a real weight class.

Yea, but it’s not even fair to call it a fair CW fight, if one guy is sweating off weight to the point of collapse in order to make it, and the other guy just quits along the way.

The UFC is most interested in making money before all things, so they certainly won't be adding restrictions to how they book events. You can completely forget about altering the rankings or title shots based on it.

What has to happen is a stepped system for purse deduction:

40% 1lbs
50% 2lbs
60% 3lbs+

It has be be based on your entire show/win money. I think this likely solves the problem overnight.

if you do the whole point thing than there no reason for a person whp heavy to even weigh in and just let the fight be cancelled./

A point a round is a bit much. So the best they could hope for outside of a finish is either a 27-27 or they utterly dominate. And if they do dominate then that just shows that missing weight could have helped them with their performance.

That's very true. The guy who missed weight still has an advantage, and the UFC will probably treat the fight as if he never missed weight, especially if it's a hype train like Till.

Yes!
So they get blamed for canceling the fight instead of putting the true pro who put himself through hell to make weight, on the spot on whether or not to accept an unfair fight.

They should have to walk around from the weigh in until the fight wearing a T-shirt that says, "Please do not feed me, I'm too fat already". And have Bruce Buffer announce them as "Fatty McFatass Wideload Piggington"

You have to hit fighters where it will hurt them the most, and that is in their wallet. Extreme penalties on fighter purses is the only way to go.

In addition to surrendering their entire purse plus win bonus if they win...(2nd infractions include a fine to the commision)

1. They lose 1 point for every single round that goes into the books

.

Fixed.
