I guess this new company called "Soldier Fightgear" is giving a couple of bucks per shirt sold to support our troops and the wounded warrior project. I bought a couple! As a ex soldier myself I think it's always nice to see companies giving back to those that keep us free! I think people should check it out and support our troops.

Some hot google action led me to here: https://www.soldierfightgear.com/

But it wasn't as easy as it sounds. It took me to someones myspace, where I did a control F to find this guys myspace, where he adverttised his site. Fun.

(edit - I'd like to add that I before I went to google, I tried typing that exact address in but it timed out, so I assumed it didn't exist)

"Soldier Fight Gear LLC. not only support our MMA Soldiers but our AMERICAN SOLDIERS as well. A nice portion of each sale goes directly to "Support Our Troops." We are proud of our Heroes here and abroad. Thanks for rocking “Soldier Fight Gear” and “Team Asphyxiate” apparel."

Sounds like a cool thing to do but - how much is a "nice portion"?

I guess I wont give them a dime of my money. I choose not to sponsor an illegal war, including those who voluntarily fight in it. Yeah, I know its "just their job". Thats no excuse.

IF IT WASN'T FOR THE SOLDIERS YOUR STUPID ASS WOULDN'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO TALK SHIT ABOUT US SOLDIERS! I RESPECT YOUR OPINION ABOUT THE WAR...BUT THINK ABOUT WHAT THE SOLDIERS PROTECT OF YOURS!

Im just wondering how the money goes directly to the troops... are they giving money to certain politicians? political parties? troops families? an organization? or just handing out cash at bases abroad?

sorry to be cynical, but it appears that they're cashing in on honest folks' sentiments and i don't agree with that.

So I contacted Soldier fightgear about how they donate to the troops. The response I got was that they have an agreement with 2 organizations. Woundedwarriorproject.org and Operation support our troops. 10% of their sales goes to these 2 organizations. Sounds on the up and up...

Youre right, I have no idea what theyre trying to protect in Iraq, and I choose not to support it in any way.

Im saying that their marketing is turning me off as a consumer.

Thats fine, I will continue supporting the troops by paying my taxes but Im wont be giving them my money voluntarily.

remarks like that arent needed.. he was posting a site that supports soldiers overseas.. but why the hell do you need to make remarks? no one needs to hear that shit... and your not really "supporting" the troops by paying taxes.. your supporting your government and all the nice technology, rights and freedoms.. that this government provides you... even if you disagree.. it doesnt really matter.. because its true..

Because we discuss mma products, companies and related issues in this forum.

yea discuss the products.. and the companies.. not how you wont be giving a cent to this company.. they arent asking you for money they are selling a product.. not a foreign policy.. they are just donating a share of thier profit to support us soldiers who are fighting a war.. and it is our job.. im thankful for all those who sent us care packages and letters while i was over thier.. recieving packages from the states to us was like christmas everyday.. you know since we are away from our families for a year.. and doing hardwork.. something i dont think you know n e thing about..

oh yea i dont think you thinking this war is "illegal", and how youre cheap.. is a related issue to products and companies.. even if they do support us..

Obviously I am saying that I wont be buying their products and therefore not giving them any money.
