New clinchgear shorts review?

I know they shipped out like 2 weeks ago. Who has them and how are they? Actual pics would be nice, the pics on the website are too small and not enough detail.
 
.....nobody can afford them ;o)

j/k...well, the Hendo sig ones, at least...

If they're anything like the old models, then they crazy tough and very light and feel nice and roomy...and since they last forever, there's probably a reason nobody's had to buy new ones yet...
 
I plan on getting a pair and not writing a review.....I have a feeling the review would be similar to the review on the originals in a good way.
 
theres no huge improvements from what we read over the originals so, yeah I'm with Red Dog.

Fozzy, I respectfully beg to differ. We absolutely improved the shorts both technically and aesthetically. The stitching is enhanced in several key areas, including the crotch, inseams and side seams. In addition, the nylon-based expansion panels on the sides and crotch have been significantly upgraded to a higher-density fabric. These improvements have resulted in an even more durable, longer-lasting product.

We also updated the logo and graphics, adding a screen to each of the side panels, color-coordinating the embroidery and implementing a two-tone color scheme for the Primo Camo and Primo Hendo shorts.

For the Primo Hendo shorts, we added a split side seam, embroidered autograph on the rear waist, the half black-half camo design and a logo screen on the right rear leg.

All of our pre-orders shipped last week. Because we were a week late on production, we sent all customers a second Clinch Gear t-shirt (they received one free with their order) and an autographed memorabilia item from Pride 33—a limited edition jumbo postcard with a depiction of the Henderson-Silva fight poster. We also included an autographed Hendo souvenir card. I maintained frequent e-mail communication with all of our customers throughout production and did everything within my power to ensure a satisfactory experience.

Our shorts are currently with a photographer who is taking hi-res product shots from several angles. The images should be up on the site next week.

We have received many e-mails this week from happy customers. Two customers requested a smaller size, and I already shipped the replacements even though we have not yet received the returns. I did not charge them shipping.

I am hopeful that some of our customers with eventually post about their experience with Clinch Gear and offer their opinions on the shorts. Our goal is to continue to manufacture the most technical and functional board shorts in the industry. We will soon add new colors and are currently working on prototypes for new models. FYI, our first shipment totaled 2,000 pairs--due to brisk direct and wholesale orders, we have already scheduled our second run next month.

Fozzy, I believe that we inherited an excellent pair of shorts when Dan acquired the brand. I also believe that the shorts are even better today. Considering that you wrote a review of the original shorts in August ’05, I’m happy to ship you our new shorts if you can commit to writing an updated review in a timely fashion.

Please note the original shorts were quite generously sized, roughly 1
 
oh i wasnt saying that there was anything bad about them in the first place, my original Clinch Gear are still holding up, though a friend wears them now since he had no shorts to train in.

I'd be happy to do a review, I have to put out one on TXMMA's gloves soon too, so I can do them at the same time. It's hard finding people to hold mits for me as of late to work my GNP :(

I have not got mine yet but hopefully they will be in today. Aaron did a good job keeping me updated on the status of my order sending me emails frequently. Good customer service.

I don't get the whole "too exspensive" thing

they don't cost any more then a pair of quicksilvrs *shrugs*

congrats to foz and the people that preordered. clinchgear seems about as giving as sprawl. Aaron is really doing a good job with customer service. The best I've experienced so far.

I'm not gona lie but I really dig the look of the Hendo shorts. I'd like to see some more high res shots of them.
 
Got the Hendo version shorts in earlier this week but have not had an opportunity to train in them yet (fiance has me working on wedding stuff :( ).

I actually like the way they fit more than the previous version and the new dual camo/black design looks nice too. It feels like the material is different than the old ones but it is still very light soft and durable feeling.

They made some nice improvements to the already best shorts on the market.
 
the new clinchgear shorts are great have trained in my new hendos a couple times since i got them and no problems a friend fought in them last night with no problems thanks for all the help aaron everything was good except taking a fight 20lbs out of tys weight class we learned alot though about how promotions really work thanks for all the support and help....jamie point
