Never ending Pena delusions. Possibly CTE kicking in for calling dibs on Kayla vs Nunes winner?

Literally everyone thinks Natalia Silva is champ material.

Manon took Valentina to a razor close decision

Many fans thought Talia Santos beat Valentina

Grasso finished Valentina and took her to a draw

For someone who hates WMMA you are massive Shevchenko dickrider

For someone who's such a massive W125 dickrider, you don't seem to be a fan of Shevchenko, the long-time champion with how many title defences.

"Literally everyone thinks Natalia Silva is champ material"... who is "everyone" exactly, you fool?

What happened with Erin Blanchfeild, did all you WMMAcels jump off her wagon after 1 loss already?

Dude it's not CTE, don't be silly, she never got knocked out and doesn't get hit so much. She is a competitor. It's her character. If she wasn't over the top confident, she wouldn't be a UFC champion. It isn't even crazy to go for more title shots and earn real bucks. You got unranked guys wanting to be champs. Stop it.

Didnt she challenge a male co worker in her food line crew and get btfu? Dont think shes the brightest
Lol
Id love to hear about that
Whats the story behind this ?
Venezuelans.. ewww

I see what you are saying. I guess Dumont vs Pena as less of a risk. like Pennington is very likely to beat Dumont.
Ah I getcha. I mean, if we don't want to risk Dumont at all, then just put her straight into the title, imo.

I dunno. You'd think if he did actually pay this much attention to Val, he'd also be pointing out how most people thought she beat the 135 and WMMA GOAT in Nunes that second fight. Ya know, since 125 is so bad..

Pena should be forced to avenge her loss against the random guy behind McDonald’s first. Then she can get another title shot in the UFC.

$$$$$$$ she knows both run through her, what she wants is title fight money.

Neither Nunes and Kayla are long for the sport after this fight.
Pena might be able to just sit out into a vacant title fight vs Dumont.

All the contenders at W125 everyone was raving about not too long ago have all been set back.
Fighters lost fights? And in most of those cases, only 1 single fight? Oh shit. What a setback indeed.

Well, until we find a way to have an MMA fight where both competitors win, then I suppose we'll just have to deal with that fact that, over time, most people will have lost a fight at some point.

All these "up and rising contenders and viable challengers to Valentina’s reign" that fool Dreyga keeps yapping about, where are they now?
1 fight back.
Everyone keeps talking about how Valentina has declined and is on her way out, but the only person who beat her is now on a 2-fight losing streak.
So she's 2 fights back, with 1 of those being Val. That's sort of how things go, especially when contenders who should have earned the right to face the champ instead have to face each other to stay busy while a needless trilogy gets solved. So some losses only came up out of a forced necessity to keep gambling until the dice roll poorly. Having 2 number 1 contenders fight doesn't mean the loser of the 2 sucks now. The only reason Blanch couldn't get a turnaround in is because she didn't get a chance to squash Barber's streak as per their booking.

*Edit*
There's something about this logic I don't get. Your main criticism about 125 is that Val is still champ, which would show it hasn't moved because the challengers came up empty.

But you herald 135 as the premiere division? The only reason it could be a premiere division in the past 10 years was solely because Nunes exists. The only reason she's not still champ even up to last week is because she decided not to.

So by your criticisms, wouldn't that demonstrate how awful the 135 division has been? Pena's win over Nunes is perceived much more harshly than Grasso's over Val. Val's challengers were certainly more competitive than Nunes' on average. Hell, Nunes even got time off from defending against the zero challengers at 135 by taking fights at 145.

135 had the best name in it, but was the weakest division by far for years now

CTE really became popularised as a term/diagnosis in the last 10-20 years, now you can see it being used like an insult on internet forums. It's the same with words like "autistic", which people might use like an insult now. Eventually they will change the popularised term CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy) to something else, and people will forget what CTE was for that brief moment in time.

W125 doesn't have to be good to be leagues better than W135.
It was only ever a flagship division when Ronda was there, since then it's been exposed for the wasteland it was and still is.

You know a division is bad when a fighter coming from the PFL with 3 UFC wins feels so far ahead of the division that the only interesting matchup is somebody that has been retired for 2 years.

For someone with that good of a resume, she sure as hell doesn't seem to have very many fans left. Pretty bizarre seeing that coming from the biggest WMMA fanboys like that idiot Dreygo and the other male feminists. They should be declaring her the GOATest of all WMMA GOATs, but no.

Maybe one of those elite W125ers should go up and challenge her then. Maybe they should have challenged Juliana or Raquel instead, or Nunes when they had the chance since that division is so devoid of talent.

Schev already has a win over Pena and put up a better fight against Nunes than literally every other W135 champion ever.

Well she's just wasting her time at 125 then, she should go back to 135 and try to get another belt.

This is MMA, fans and resumes are pretty separate.

It's pretty impossible to call Val the GOAT simply because of Nunes' list of accomplishments, and the record showing 2 wins over Val. To argue she's the GOAT would be an exercise in futility.

It's like if a fighter who got knocked out once tried to say the hardest they've been hit was someone else. It doesn't matter how right that could be, they're still gonna get spammed with the visual evidence of that knockout over and over because the tide of oversimplification is too overwhelming.

But that doesn't mean people haven't still maintained the idea that Val is the P4P most skilled WMMA fighter ever. That's still people basically saying she's the GOAT, but phrasing it differently to make the argument easier. And that's still a very regular idea around here

She should have a long time ago, but I suspect as long as Nunes was champ, Val was probably told 'no instant title shot for you,' that every other champ gets.

By the time Nunes was gone, Val was already stuck fixing the Grasso hiccup

I think if Dumont has to beat someone, she gets the most out of Peña, obviously, but considering every fight is a risk of losing, I think Pennington is the better go. It's still a former champ, and if Rocky gets the upset, it's still a fresh face for Kayla.

It's the same reason I wouldn't pair Dumont against Vieira, despite Ketlen being off a win, since she already lost to Kayla right before that.

Not too bad of a reason to do Peña - Vieira, since they're both high ranked and not great momentum, but it's probably best to use them to get new blood in, like Perez or Cavalcanti
Great points and I like the new blood idea. If they do a logger jam like they did in LW, it could be really ugly in any women's division.
