I think he's a legitimately nice guy. I just find him a boring fighter. He's basically a boxer with really good take-down defense, and nothing more. If I wanted to see boxing, I'd watch boxing.
JDS vs. Cain II isn't interesting to me. I know what's gonna happen. It will look like the first fight, just last a bit longer. Cain will chase JDS, get punched, won't be able to take him down, and it will end with a TKO for JDS even though Cain isn't actually unconscious or truly unable to intelligently defend himself.
Sorry, I'm just not interested in seeing that. I like fights where I don't know what's gonna happen. Where it could go to the ground at any time, could end by KO or submission at any time. Any fight with JDS is a stand-up boxing match that will end in a TKO (never even a nice, pretty, clean KO).
The old argument about wrestler vs boxer apparently has an answer: train a good boxer in "anti-wrestling" i.e. good takedown defense, and the boxer wins every time.
BORING.
Even Roy Nelson is more interesting and diverse in his game (and since he has no brain, he's impossible to KO).
