Conor is doing this “nice guy” act right now, which I could care less whether he’s nice or not.

However I did remember one thing: NEVER be nice to Cerrone during fight week or in the fight.

Cerrone has some of the worst pre-fight anxiety of any fighter in the UFC. This is the main reason he is a slow starter, he has to get comfortable and relaxed in there. A relaxed Cerrone is VERY hard to beat.

I could show you 10 examples of times he got comfortable in the octagon and literally finished his opponent not far afterwards, but I’ll just show you this one:

Matt Brown was doing well against Cerrone by bullying him and even stunning him with a punch, having a close fight through the 2nd round. As soon as the 3rd round started, Cerrone and Matt hug and start playing around like it’s a party. Cerrone gets relaxed, sees all of his openings and turns into a different fighter.

It's like you're the first one to say this!

Just busting your balls. It might also be that he's trying to clear his image a little bit of all the shit he's been involved recently.

Relaxed Cerrone is right up there with Prime Aldo, 145 Max and RDA era Eddie, so if Conor beats him, that is another GOAT slayed, no excuses from the peanut gallery.

    ABSOLUTELY.

I saw a vid breakdown on this donkey's ago and it came down to this - being alone in the octagon, the pressure to perform, to put on a show, fans watching - all this pressure is to an extent alleviated by the belief that you're in there with another guy, just like you, and the pair of you are gonna put on this show together.
This week Cerrone has come out and talked how scared he gets etc. This camaraderie in the octagon is vital for him.

It is another thing in Cerrone's favour for this fight (with the weight and activity too). He's not a dead dog at all.

Conor knows this too but wants Cowboy at his best as he enjoys a challenge which is why he didn't make him cut to 55.

Nice Cowboy Angry Cowboy Dad Cow Boy Mexico Cow Boy

Maybe Cowboy's just Cowboy and he fights tons of elite fighters and sometimes he wins and sometimes he loses and there's no fucking narrative here despite MMA fan's bizarre infatuation with pre-fight causality.

    I agree TS.

His fight with Diaz was over when Nate knocked his cowboy hat off. It was over then. It was over before the fight started.

This is a myth. It makes no difference, he's been beaten before by ''nice guys'.
