Opinion Netflix's Series About Colin Kaepernick Looks Like Absolute Trash

Kaepernick went from a bench riding QB that probably was only known by 6% of the US population to a Triggering BLM Idol that is known worldwide and I still don't think I have ever heard the dude speak.

The funny thing is the Triggered outrage like this thread is what really made him famous. If nobody cared he would have been forgot about long ago.

Dummies keep letting him live in your head rent free with outrage and cancel culture...... Its your own fault and you can't even see it.

<seedat><TheDonald><seedat>

I honestly have no feelings towards him good or bad because like I said.... I have never even heard him speak lol.

I have no interest in Netflix trying to convince me he’s some hero.

From pig socks comparing cops
to slave catchers to praising Fidel Castro

I don’t think any rational person believes for a single second that Kaepernick is an innocent victim because that’s simply not true.

You gotta be delusional if you think a show about a half white activist that grew up with "white privilege" complaining about equal justice would be good LOL

He's a fucking moron.

He was a mediocre backup tier quarterback who had one foot out the door of the NFL and desperately needed to find something to cling to. He found it.

No he didn't.

The thing that people forget is this whole shitstorm started because some reporter had nothing to ask Colin during the NFL preseason so he asked why Colin was kneeling. He answered. Chaos ensued.

All these people saying he went looking for trouble are just pro police murdering people and don't want to say it, he literally started it as a personal protest he was keeping to himself. It was not calculated and he did not plan out being a celebrity. Maybe later on it didn't make sense for him to come back to the NFL once he had become an icon but in 2016 this was not the case and he wanted to play football.

He's a grifter who knew he was on the way out.

For anyone interested, the whole not standing for the flag idea is very old. Ice Cube's character talks about it in Higher Learning.

A personal protest that he was keeping to himself? Keeping it to himself by doing it at professional, televised football game? Ya, real personal.

I like the part where he is disappointed he has to hang around white people. What a bummer, and totally a message we should be supporting.

Ah yes, another person the media has built up to create division who really shouldnt be in this whole debacle when you consider his upbringing and background. Netflix sure is scraping the bottle of the barrel just to show how woke and stupid they are.

Colin brings nothing to anything, just like the documentary about him will be meaningless and empty, unless you are a brainwashed "racialist" who believes the woke narrative.

Imagine being the white family that adopted and raised him, only for him to turn around and start a big lie driven crusade against white people.

What a way to thank the people who gave you a home to live in, when your own parents gave you up (the father of which, is black - fatherlessness in the black community being the real issue he should have been raising this entire time).

He didn't tell anyone until a media member asked.

He was not looking for publicity.

Believe it or not before Colin announced his reasoning for kneeling, no one gave a flying fuck.

Come on let's be real your referring to the pre season as professional and televised because it fits your agenda. You know no one cares about the pre season.

So many racists in this thread already.. and they try to convince us we do not NEED this series.

This is why we kneel.

He was mildly good and decided to throw away a mediocre career to try to make a mediocre political message, of which he is educated about at the bare minimum.

it is what it is man. he lost me at the pig socks.

What agenda? I'm simply calling out the stupidity of saying something done by a professional athlete, during a televised game in front of thousands of people, was done personally and being kept to himself.

A personal protest 'he was keeping to himself' would be silently donating to police oversight watch groups, or something similar.

Colin was pushed out of the league because the racist whites in corporate didn't like one of their work mules stepping out of line. If I was black, I would boycott the NFL.

Black people in real life (not just hypothetical ones) aren't even boycotting the NFL lol...

The thing about the whole issue I can't stop finding hilarious is the argument that the NFL is racist. I couldn't even guess as to the player demographics, but its gotta be half black at least. And the act is that they're racist at the whitest black dude in the NFL.

L to the OL

He wasn’t kneeling at first he was sitting.

And tbh I have a feeling that whole thing with the question and all was planned.

Have a hard time believing this all went down organically.
