Netflix is Raising Their Prices Again

Netflix is the best streaming, and the price is still good, but they're very odd with money. They spend massive amounts of money on crap that no one watches and/or cancel if it's a tv show, and pass it off to the customer.

Streaming generally seems rather "nouveau riche", its got loads of money to spend but the people spending it don't have much taste and tend to chase yesterdays men rather than picking out rising talent.

150 million on The Irishman? theres a good reason no major studio would pay that.

I dont understand Netflixs business strategies.

First start a business renting out dvds cheap.

Add streaming video charge same price.

Remove dvd rentals raise price and charge more if you still want dvds.

Lose tons of licenses and titles raise price.

Add tons of garbage Adam Sandler movies raise price.

Make everyone hate them after posting some movie people consider child porn
Cancellations go up 800%
Netflix again responds with : raise price.

Now that every company ever has a streaming service the so-called golden age of streaming is already a couple years in the past.

Damn. It's days like this where I wish I could cancel this company multiple times.

Thanks to cuties they lost a solid chunk of subscribers. It’s in the million $ range, but in the grand scheme it’s kinda insignificant.

Or is it?

It's not one cut, but many that would make the difference.

Competition alone probably wouldn't do it. Regulations alone wouldn't do it. Cult of Wokeness (cuties, dear white people, etc.), alone wouldn't do it. But, all of it combined, might be quite significant.

They make enough where that doesn’t bust their bubble, no doubt.

I heard it took a chunk of revenue. Not millions in viewership but I haven’t checked the source.

made me want to barf. If you want a fact check hit up Crowder. Can’t imagine he can get away with too much as any false facts he gets jumped on.

A lot of it is really not to streaming rights being massively undervalued early on, I'm imagine a lot of deals signed earlier in the last decade have been lapsing more recently.

Netflix blows.

Nothing like scrolling past garbage for half an hour only to switch back to regular cable.

Netflix announced on Thursday that it is raising prices for its standard plan and premium plan for U.S. consumers. The two-stream HD Standard plan will increase from $12.99 to $13.99 while the four-stream 4K Premium plan is raising from $15.99 a month to $17.99. The one-stream SD plan will remain priced at $8.99 a month.

Holy smokes, I remember back when membership was only $10 a month.

I remember when it was 7.99

And pass it off on the way they pay and retain employees as well

Can't believe the amount of torrenting discussion in this thread that's gone unnoticed. I once got double yellows for saying the word TORRENT.

If I'm not mistaken, doesn't Hulu do some crap where they'll only make like half of the episodes of a series available? I recall trying to watch a series and only seeing like episode 1, 3 and 7 or some dumb crap.

Also, too many cot damn commercials!

Yes! Only the first three episodes of Season 3 of The Sinner are on there.

I have to think that 95% of their customer base doesn’t even remember they have it and autopays the small fee every month.
And then for every person paying, there's two other people using the account for free.

This. Streaming just becoming cable for the internet cept you only have to buy what you want instead of having 90% channels u never watch.
