Just announced …. Anglickas de gp alternate enters replacing Rumble … the right move was made imo

They didnt even wait to see if Yoel gets through this fight healthy with a win???

If Yoel gets this win over Phil Davis uninjured he should definitely be in the tourney. If he somehow gets a finish over Davis he should be crowned the tourney champ

Yoel hasnt won a fight in 3.5 years and has put on mediocre to dreadful performances in most of these fights. At some point its time to realize hes not that guy anymore.

Way he just fought and got manhandled in the third he should be closer to retiring then he should to be getting into the tournament.

At no stage did he look like he was going to take Davis' head off. That third round was even worse as that's historically been Yoel's best round and he got ragdolled for most of it. At some stage you're going to have to get to grips with the fact that a 44 year old can only fight Father time for so long before losing. Based on that performance you're going to have to come to grips with it fairly soon.

He always looks like he can take the head off and Phil knew that and fought like that

At most he'll have 3-4 more fights, realistically I'd imagine it could be as low as 2, he won't be fighting at 46. Yoel last took a head off in 2018 bud, only chance that version of Yoel's coming back is with a steep decline in the quality of opponent.

Guarantee he can still do a backflip split. Dont sleep

Stay tuned for further news...

Brah he was saving himself for round 4 and 5.

Phil stood in the pocket and traded with Joel for 9 minutes… took him down for the last minute of the second round… and in the last one humiliated him, probably a 10-8 rd…

Nemkov's beating Davies decisively twice looks so much impressive now. Fucking Phil Davies looks to be getting better at 36 and after almost 30 fights.

Phil's always been an excellent and underrated talent tbh, incredible resume and consistency at the highest level. People remember him routing old man Glover but he also doesn't get enough credit for the quality of his Bellator run; King Mo, Newton, Vasell, and especially McGeary (sadly none of whom ever get much recognition) were legit world class opponents and he pretty much ran through all of them. Expect the Albrektson win to age amazingly in the next few years as well.

Regarding Julius vs Nemkov, this is one I expected to happen within the next few years, but I think it's a little too soon for Anglickas, he needs more seasoning and to feel being in there with the big boys. Albrektson, Yag, or even a Puetz matchup would have been good to get his feet wet in the top of the division, but to go straight to the big dog is a tough task.

Good fight, glad they were able to make it. Best option available.

Dreadful performance in most of the losses? Wot.... He arguably won all 3 and youre on crack if you think the Whittaker rematch or Costa fight were "dreadful" in any way
