I have a neighbour a relatively new arrival i think a couple in their early thirties and every weekend and some times week days the air is fill with loud f bombs country music and general drunkenness .

I live in a neighbourhood where many of the families have young children . Now f bombs and the like dont bother me but some of my neighbours is so upset by the swearing that one even feels compelled to sell her house . These people also have young children but they just seems to be the type that doesnt watch their mouth in front of their kids . Also they fight a lot and yell f bombs at their dog and often sound very drunk . Im just curious how some of you with kids feel - deal with neighbours like these .

Myself i never minded - sounds like they are having a great time n.n ! I dont have kids but if i did i dont think i will be one to coddle them so that no one ever says a curse when they can hear . Instead i would teach them that its not a very polite way to talk despite that people can talk that way often . But im not a very coddly and over protective person . Im just curious about how parents deals with this sort of thing because im sure these kinds of neighbours are everywhere .

Cant do much when a neighbour is yelling profanities as it isnt against the law. I doubt they will stop even if someone asks them to as people who constantly say the f word werent raised to be polite and courteous. not worth the hassle.

How far did he throw them?
I live like 3 houses down and i can hear it comfortably from inside my house . So im saying about 200 ~ 300 yards . Hes definately touching down .

But i guess i never thought about swearing bothering neighbours before . But if your neighbour has kids and you throw f bombs indiscriminately then they probably hate your guts .

I suppose that you could possibly record it and file a nuisance claim.

op is posting a thread here instead of maning the fuck up and talking to his neighbor there will be not uppercuts thrown in his neighborhood

No really i dont have kids and this is not about me . I really dont mind . Im starting to like country music . Honestly i think being quiet is a white people thing . Asians are generally used to neighbours being loud .

Swearing may not be but causing a disturbance is. It's a criminal code offence in Canada. I say call the police, it's what we get paid for.

Has anybody tried asking them to stop? Some people are inconsiderate, but can be enlightened and reasoned with. Legally, there's not much you can do that's worth your time.

I'd be more pissed off about the country music than the F bombs.
At first this was my position but theres some thing so rural and trashy about country music turned up loud while drinking in the yard with out your shirt on throwing f bombs and getting aggressive with your wife that i see a kind of beauty to it being in the landscape .

I had something similar with a neighbor across the street, being very loud at 12, 1am and their driveway is closer to my sons room than anything. I just asked them if they can keep it down at this late at night as my son has school in the morning. The kids (very early 20's) were ok about it which surprised me. You might want to just have a cordial talk with them about your concerns, and the other neighbors, they could surprise you.

Politely ask them. Your frustration and anxiety only builds when you do nothing.

Sounds more than just F bombs if the neighbor is considering selling. Is he yelling when everyone's sleeping like a nut case?

There could be more to it but i was only told about the swearing fighting and drinking all which i can hear from my house but didnt bother me . But im not always home and im home very odd hours that other things can be going on . Im also the only single person who doesnt really care what the neighbour is doing . My yard is a big garden so im not bothering anybody or hanging out in my yard either like every one else seems do .

They make noise some times around midnight . Not all nights but they arent very quiet . I also think more than one family lives in that house and maybe they are all making noise but before they moved in this neighbourhood was so quiet . Now it sounds like there is an low rent apartment complex near by . But i wont complain because my vegetables say they are cool with the noise . n.n im not so much moved here for the quiet but the large yard so i can have a big garden . So im okay with it .

I feel like I'm that guy in my neighborhood. Everyone is securely in their house and quiet by 7pm. I'm drunk and getting high in my (very little) backyard playing all sorts of music then ill stumble on the streets with my dog for a nice directionless walk
