GIMP is free. Also, BWR had some instructional intro on how to get started on these kind of ideas. I'll see if I can scrounge it up, but I'm sure @Arqueto knows what I'm talking about

*edit* but for real my guy? Just a bit of patience, a good source of PNG's or at least a steady hand, and MS paint, and you can do all your real basic cut ups. Only difficulties I've found I need to use gimp for are changing lighting/color/tone/burning type shit, or just free rotation to get the right spot I want, since MSPaint only does 90 degrees. MAYBE save myself some time with a magic wand, but that shits finicky as fuck anyway.

Ugh, I just kinda walked myself through a "If I were to give a tutorial on how to quickly and efficiently cut up stuff in MS Paint" type of thing, and just grabbed 2 things I thought would go together, namely the appendix thread and Matt Mitrione's eye and came up with this, and I'm disgusted
