everytime i spar i seem to reinjure my toe, and i'm wondering if shoes would help. i'm just wondering if anyone has any comparasons between:

tkd shoes
kung fu shoes
wrestling shoes
other

or maybe i should just try to not use any kicks at all for awhile.

i would say the kung fu ones just cuz of how light they are and how easily they slip on and off

Have you tried a foot protector yet?
As for shoes I would NOT recommend Kung-Fu shoes at all, but TKD-shoes or even better Savate/Boxe Francaise shoes would protect your toe a bit more.
Take it into account that you will be fighting matches without shoes...

Avoid the shoes and work on your technique and timing, it might sound patronising but seriously avoid shoes like a plague on your testicles, if you want to be good sort it out that way. Trust me I have been there, and there is nothing more funky looking than a black toe or a dislocated toe....

if you keep hurting your toe...then your obviously not kicking right...try working on your technique...such as when you are doing front snap kick...kick with the ball of your foot....roundhouse use the ball of your foot...shin kick aim the kick higher on your leg

I think i'll try to get savate shoes. though i'm not sure if the local ma store has them.

No matter how you kick there's a slight chance of injury, even with perfect technique, and once it gets injured it's easy to re-injure.

plus toes usually take awhile to heal.
