Hey, i recently got into some mma training, and i would like to cut weight.

Not just for a fight, like cut and keep off.

I Have worked out for a while now and have some pretty good mass but am 6'2 195 and would like to cut to about 185.

Ps, i dont want to take any pills, would just like to know how, with diet/exercise!

THANKS!:D

I'd -cut 250-300 calories every week / two weeks.
At that rate, you would lose maybe 1-2lbs every three months.

what you should do is stop eating a lot of starchy foods for example

rice
potatoes (in general)
bread(in general)
donuts
pizza
pasta (spaghetti,lasagana,noodles)
chocalate(obvious)
all types of junk food

Try to eat yogurt or fresh fruit for breakfast, then for lunch baked chicken with stir-fried vegetables, and for dinner salmon fillet with stir fried vegetables. By doing this along with exercise you will lose at least 4-5 pounds a week (max) or 1-2 pounds a week (min)

and DON'T starve yourself.

With your advice your metabolism would stop after a week and you'd end up having the body of an old man in two months. The person would have 3/4 their fat still and 1/2 their muscle.

Not to be rude,

thanks for the replies, sorry for not readin the sticky:S,

To eat 300-400 calories less per day.

Say you where on a 3000 calorie diet , in five day's you'd be at 1500. A week later if you stayed at 1500 calories you'd have crashed and burned.

NO, you totally misunderstood my post. I did not advocate any kind of progressive reduction, although I see how someone could read my post that way. Just a static reduction of 300-400 per day from his average intake. Meaning, if he is fat and eating 3000 per day, then reduce it to 2600-2700, steady.

increase the protein to carb ratio each week and then the last week carb up
