Hey all, what supplement or food/bar would you recommend for high energy for biking? Is powerbar gel or whatever even worth it or should I get something else? I want to start biking but burn out quickly and need something to keep me going.

    any info would be great,
    thanks

I've heard good things about "First Order" ..

I've ordered some for myself the other day, still waitin for it.

Should be good for grappling too as it helps to buffer lactic acid.

    It's pretty cheap here ..

Bodywell First Order, 200g (50 srv)

Yeah if you're looking for a placebo, that stuff looks pretty good. Expensive enough that you'll really think you're getting something.

Ever tried carbohydrates? They're not even trademarked, give em a shot. I hear you can find them almost everywhere.

Sounds like you're just out of shape, and nothing's going to fix that but more training. If you're "burning out" quickly, you had better keep biking until you don't. You won't really see a need for powergel/carb supps until you're going for over 1 1/2 - 2 hours. That doesn't mean you can't use them to stave off cortisol and all that junk, but it's not your main problem.
