I just bought a punching bag and would like to start some beginner training with muay thai and boxing. What are some good programs? Thanks.

Trust me do yourself a favour and join a gym. It is alright to work out on a punching bag at your home but by asking on the internet your not going to learn properly I guarantee it. If its a cost issues just join a gym for a month and go as much as you can and learn the basics then practice at home.

Yeah, definitely find a good school and get some coaching. If you do it completely on your own, you'll just get really good at throwing really bad punches and kicks.

If making a monthly financial commitment is an issue, just scrape up enough dough to train someplace for one month, then practice those drills at home when your month is up. It's not ideal, but it's better than never getting any instruction at all.

  6. yeah man, find a good gym to train at. i got a heavy bag a couple of months before i started training MT and i found that you can really create bad habits from working with yourself without any training history.
