I am currently working on developing a strong closed guard and a strong regular open guard (in other words, not butterfly, spider, etc). Can someone recommend a book? I heard about a book called "mastering the closed guard" but I cannot remember who the author is.
What I am looking for in a book is a very detailed, in depth approach to strategies for playing guard. I am not so concerned about the actual techniques, because I learn those at my gym.
I searched google and this forum, and every result led back to eddie bravo's book. Although I will get that book eventually, I am currently workign on developing strong fundamentals.
