Yes, I was wrong about all of my predictions today, hence why I'm not a gambling man. The Packers shit the bed against the Seahawks, the Colts got murdered by the Patriots, and Conor smoked Siver. Anyone have a gif of the stoppage? Was it as questionable as everyone is saying? Thanks in advance.

Yeah. I want to see Conor's fists fucking up Sivers elbows too. That was brutal.

Man Siver will definitely need to ice his forearms!

All jokes aside Dennis looked like he wanted a way out. Herb said "fight back or I'll stop this" and he did nothing except the same thing.

Easy payday for Conor but I'm hungry for the main event... Conor "the Jester" McGregor vs Jose "The King" Aldo

Is there a rule about "not fighting back" though? I know there's one about "intelligently defending himself", which Siver was doing just fine.

I had all right except Benson/Cerrone... which I thought Benson won.

I was pretty upset because I couldn't bring myself to bet. Too afraid with some of the sites getting called out for fraudulent checks. Wish I would have.

While, I don't think it was the case in this contest, after a certain amount of time in the same position, even if you are intelligently defending yourself, the fight should be stopped. Great defense can be just as much concession as poor defense.

I was upset that the UFC broadcast didn't really show the finish. They showed the shitty ground and pound and missed the awesome body shot that actually dropped Siver.

Honestly I think that Siver just wanted out and Herb knew it. A lot of people get on his ass about stopping fights early but Dennis was starting cover up and not fight at the end of the first. More of the same in the second, the liver shot that dropped him and then covering up while Conor had him in mount = good game.

It wasn't an impressive TKO as Conor was literally hitting Siver's elbows but it is what it is.

To answer your question I don't know if there is an exact rule on that but it is to the referee's discretion if a fight should continue or not.

Conor was beating him up really, really badly. He didn't beat him to death once he mounted him, but it's not like the slate gets wiped clean. He was dominating.

The refs tell the fighters before the fight that if they basically just turtle up and take multiple unanswered blows, they will be told to fight back, and if they don't, and don't attempt to improve their position, they will stop the fight.

He was mounted after getting KD'd by a left, with Conor dropping multiple unanswered fists on him with impunity. The fight was over.

    OK here we go.

I'd like Herb to give Siver a bit more time, but yeah, stoppage was not that bad.

No question that siver was done, the only thing that was odd was the way he rolled over again after conner Knocked him down initially, but i attribute that him being rocked.

stoppage was fine, Herb told him to defend himself and he done nothing but throw his legs in the air

Herb saved him from taking damage

Lol by this 90% of fights where guy was in mount would be stopped. Herb Dean at it again.

It's a fair question, why wasn't Carwin-Brock stopped then? Exactly the same situation, completely different outcome.

Ref let Carwin punch himself out, then Brock (the moneymaker) wins.

Ref stops fight despite Siver defending himself, then Conor (the moneymaker) wins.

How many punches hit anywhere other than his arms?
