Law NC House overrides budget veto in surprise vote with almost half of lawmakers absent

We're talking about politicians from a nation that bombs weddings and funerals... you expect them to, what, adhere to some standards of decency?

Yeah the people should drag them through the streets for it. But nothing will happen, Republicans across the country will just continue to do stuff like that.

This is why you drop centrism and stop reaching across to the other side.

It’s pointless. Obama’s 8 years showed you that fact.

Centrism and reaching out across to the other side is for pathetic bums. Democrats should start treating the right wing like the animals that they are. Reaching out to them results in a complete failure every step of the way
Yeah, at this point you’re just being bullied relentlessly.

There needs to be more than one. There needs to be ten.

You're Canadian.

People say that to him frequently, but this post made me bust out loud laughing.

And, yeah, it's despicable. But it's par for the course.

It's no different than what the Republicans at the federal level have done over the past 11 years in terms of destroying good faith in the lawmaking process, from trying to repeal Obamacare dozens of times and screaming lies about it for years only to not have any plans whatsoever when they were able to repeal it, to screaming that the ACA was being pushed through despite it receiving dozens of Republican amendments and hundreds of hours of floor time only to then pass through the AHCA without any Democratic amendments or any floor time, to telling Obama they would talk about naturalization once he secured the border only to pull the rug out and call him an open borders traitor after he establishes the most closed border in US history, to pushing through unprecedentedly incompetent and unqualified judicial appointments without any discussion, to refusing to even do their constitutional duty to hear Obama's SC appointment.

This. is. the Republican Party. Raw, corrupt, unthinking political power.

If people got as outraged about the Patriot Act and post 9/11 wars as they did about this stupid fucking ceremony attendance bullshit, maybe we could get some actual legislation done.

"If people got outraged about the BIG terrible things that the Republican Party does instead of the small, everyday terrible things that it does, then maybe we could get some actual legislation done."

Why do you assume everyone is like "Shit, the Patriot Act? Give me some NDAA and we've got a fuckin' deal, yeehaw!!!" ??????????

Politicians are dirty and the people don't hold them accountable. Hell look at the people here who would rather turn it into some partisan bullshit instead of focusing on the problem.

What goes around comes around. McConnell and Trump have fucked Republicans in the future...and hard. The left will bully the right in similar manner, only difference will be significant increases in mass shootings (no, not gang violence my white kin) and a few Waco style debacles.

You should ideally be nice to your inevitable ruling majority. Incoming larger supreme court, far stricter gun laws, and immigrant rights, etc...

Poor NC Dems don't like getting a taste of their own medicine. Waaaaahhh!!!
