After watching UFC 196 reactions on YouTube, you start to realize that everyone including all the casuals will tune in for the second fight.

These are just a few of the many. You get the point. Us hardcore fans want to see new fights and have the divisions keep going instead of getting held up, but you can't blame the UFC for making this fight. They need a big main event, and it doesn't look like GSP is coming back. Ronda's not going to be on the card. This is their only option for a big main event.

people record themselves watching TV? the fuck..

It's definitely not their only option. If Diaz and McGregor each fight one of the countless, good opponents for them that there currently are, then that's two big fights right there.

Two big fights are better than one, plus if they both look good then you still have the option of a rematch later on in the year.

I don't mind..Full Camp Diaz will destroy Conor....Then Conor will go down to Featherweight and get destroyed by Frankie Edgar...sucks for Edgar to wait tho.

Somebody needs to compile all more or less fantastic predictions about what huge fight will headline UFC 200. From all over the past years.

Anderson vs GSP
Fedor vs Lesnar
Aldo vs GSP
Machida vs Cain
Dwert Howert vs Cain

We shall see if some drugged/prophetic individual had picked 'Nate Diaz vs FW champ" .:p :p

The only reason I don't like this fight is because it holds up the 145 belt, but other than that, I'm pretty excited. I reckon the casuals will be too. Should be at 155 though, IMO.

Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor II is dumb matchmaking. They are loading a main event without backup. And the result will likely be the same not really establishing anything new.

They could've done:
Nate Diaz vs. RDA II for 155 championship
Conor vs. Frankie for 145 championship
Tate vs. Holly 2 / Tate vs. Rousey 3

If one fight fails to take place, the two others can make up so it can go forward smoothly.

I think a rematch sucks, unless Nate gets % of PPV buys. Then I think he deserves to make some cash but still bad match making.

It might make marginal short-term money, but it makes a greater long-term loss. For years, the UFC has said that their brand (not the fighter) is the most valuable marketing commodity. Undermining the FW title hurts many PPV's to bump UFC 200.

Frankie vs. Conor is the smart fight.

UFC 200 will set record numbers because it's a stacked card, no need to try to "save it" with a hype fight.

Like someone said in another topic

UFC cares about short term business only

Makes me think that the UFC looking to sell rumor might be true

These videos confuse the fuck outa me

Its like everyone was rooting for Nate even though nobody was

Either at UFC 200 or around it, RDA should be defending his title against that Russian fighter who loves tearing his ACL, Aldo vs Edgar for the interim belt, Robbie vs GSP or Condit, and Rhonda vs Tate...

it might make sense for their buisness, but it doesnt make sense for me as a fan,and thats all i care about. Not happy

no, the exicitment for the first fight was to see Conor lose. That is gone. People will tune in for the other fights on the card though.
