For #1 contender on 208. This make sense, since all other lightweight contenders are scared of Aldo. Nate said before that he will return only for a big fight. That would also answer the question how good is Aldo against bigger opponent

I doubt they'll pay Nate 20 million for that since Aldo has been one of the worst drawing champions (except his fight with McGregor but that wasn't thanks to him). He doesn't bring in enough money which will allow the UFC to pay Nate a lot of money.

He's made enough money to demand anything he wants from the UFC. He doesn't ever have to fight again.

Realistically, Nate should be grinding for a little bit, imo. He became a ppv main event kinda guy. He should be pushing for more fights with ppv points.
And he should've been smarter and ended Conner's hypetrain to pave the way for his own. I think he's been missing out on a lot of money that could expand beyond even his own generation to maybe his kids (if he has any in the future) being financially secure.

Which sucks, because grinding is when they are the most fun.

Nate doesn't care....he's got enough money, owns a gym with his brother which is moving to a new bigger location from Lodi to Stockton, and he's said on numerous occasions he'd be just happy teaching martial arts and training new fighters. I'm sure he'll get the itch to fight again if the circumstances are right for him. He's $20m figure is just his way of BS'ing and keeping his name out there...The Diaz Brothers are a lot smarter than people give them credit for.

Yep. Now that he's had a taste of that kind of money I think he figures it's all or nothing, and he has enough to retire on so he probably sees it as having nothing to lose for demanding more.
